What is your favorite romance out of every romance in the series up until now?

There are far too many ways to screw things up while romancing Morrigan.
Between trying to avoid being too soft and working your way around the two moments when the relationship comes dangerously close to ending, you have to be alert at all times.
But hey, what is life without a challenge, right?

They have all been kinda bad and forced. If I had to pick one it would be Alistair.

Cassandra, hands down. Her seriousness combined with the surprising tenderness of her romance made for a nice contrast.

Alistair would be my favorite but Fenris is an extremely close second. Their romances were just so compelling and well paced. I just wanted to sooth away all of their past pain and traumas.

So far my favourite one is Morrigan but that is mostly because I did the whole DAO+dlc run with her.
I also wish there was a different elf female to romance in the game, I just dont like sera. as a sidekick sure, not now as a romance option.

There are good and bad points on all my favorite romances, but so far the closest to perfect romance so far is Fenris for me. Iron Bull romance is better in some ways though. So it's like really close run between them for me.
Also I hope in the next game my favorite romance is not tied to those companion hook up things. I've managed to get that 2 games in a roll, here's hoping I get luckier next time!

closely followed by Izzy and sarcastic F!Hawke.
DAI hasn't left that sort of romantic impression on me yet.

Alistair and Morrigan. They are both very charismatic and good looking. Moreover I love the fact that these romance storylines are connected to the main plot and affect it to some degree.

Normally I don't play as a male but I love Dorian so much I rolled not one but two males to romance him. He's perfect. Otherwise Alister in DAO, Isabella in 2 and Cullen in DAI for my female chars. IB is oddly enjoyable too.

They're all great, but I go with Blackwall. It's like he's the positive to the inquisitor's negative or something.
Morrigan is a helluva trip, but make sure you bring lots of money for the added excises.

My characters are madly in love only of themselves, kinda like Corypheus.

Solas is amazing too but I can connect to the romance of not being able to be with someone you really love and having them leave to a personal level. A lot of people can't get past this much in his romance to enjoy it and I totally understand that , but for me it's very special.

Alistar or Morrigan I felt were the best ones. You had to overcome hurdles to do it right and "end up together," but if you keep at it, you get what you want in the end.

Garrus *cough*
DA options only?
Solas caused the most feels, rather unexpectedly.
Most enjoyable was Alistair's, I really enjoyed his romance and was gland that even though I made him King that he and the Warden could remain together, even if she was an elven mage.
Third is Zevran. He was my first DA romance, and I really liked how his story flowed.
None of the options in DA2 appealed to me, especially after my first playthrough back when it came out. So despite there being no romantic content (outside of a few banters in the DLCs) my sarcastic Blood Mage Hawke ended up with Sebastian. I'm still not sure how or why he's okay with her blood magic though? I like that he gets mentioned in DAI by Hawke and Verric. :3

I am usually (or like to think that i am) more sturdy than this, but i just lose it around her.
Been in denial since my warden and her went through the eluvian, it was perfect but also very fast.
Cassandra was awesome though, almost replaced Morrigan.
The ones in DA2 were not that interesting, still romanced Isabella.

Fenris rivalmanced with my fem mage Hawke was the hottest, I think. That voice!
Alistair was sweet and I liked the way the romance was integrated into the story of DAO.
Cullen is head to head with Alistair. I actually prefer him personally (Alistair is very young and innocent, whereas Cullen is more of a man), but the romance had really no impact on the story whatsoever. Also, it went a bit too smoothly - no hiccup, no conflict. Still, I will definitely romance him again with my second Lavellan....
Solas was nice in a bittersweet way, but for me he lacked a bit of humour. He sometimes can be marvelously dry and witty, but all this: "You are so wise, such a great soul" etc.... it's not really me. Perhaps I just don't believe I am that wise or deep really.
. Still, for me, his romance actually added another layer to the story. So plus points for that.
My all time favourite is till Carth from KOTOR (first game romance I came across ever) and when you wind him up with your Revan, you can get some really hillarious dialogue. (also - I love his voice)
Oh, I normally prefer my fem protagonist romances, but I am playing a male Lavellan now and his romance with Cassandra is really very nice and probably making its way into my top 5 Bioware romances.

So far, I'd rank them:
1) Isabela, Zevran - light-hearted (but with a deeper story), fun, freedom (no jealousy/clingy behaviour), good romance progression, and funnily enough - a big focus on emotions instead of sex (since sex is such a non-issue with them, but emotion/commitment is). I just feel the most connected to their romances.
2) Cassandra, Dorian - Cass' is romantic and really feels worthwhile. I love having to woo her like a perfect gentleman, and how she reacts to flirts. Dorian's actually reminded me a lot of Izzy/Zev: funny, heartwarming and suprising. The only thing that makes them miss the top spot is the fact I prefer playing a woman.
3) Solas, Josephine - the lack of sex scene means there lots of flexibility with the relationship headcanon. Only bad point is that Solas' is a bit too sad for me, and Josie is a little too cutesy. I'm not masochistic enough for the Solasmance
and couldn't romance Josie with a protag who's harsher than a bunny.
3) Fenris, Sera, Merrill - enjoy all of these a lot, but they have more awkward moments, depending on choice of protag. Fenris/mage can get really awkward (it's my fave class). Sera/elf almost led to a break-up and plenty of bickering (my fave race). Merrill's rivalry path isn't for me. I also feel like Fenris and Merrill can be pretty intense.
4) Leliana - lovely and cute, but didn't make as much emotional impact on me as the above romances. My OTP for fem Tabris though.
5) Morrigan - very interesting story (my OTP for male Mahariel), but it can be annoying to micro-manage her approval (without gift-spamming).
6) Alistair - prefer him as a brother figure.
7) Sebastian - very little content. I liked the chaste marriage angle though. That's a fresh type of romance conclusion.
8) Iron Bull - not really into him or the BDSM thing. It had a couple of cute moments though, plus one really funny scene.
9) Anders - can't think of anything I like about it except its connection to the main plot. Way too tragic for me, amongst other things.
I haven't done Cullen or Blackwall yet.

Hard call, I really like Cass the way she reacts to you the steps you have to take to get to the big moment. Then the big scene is, for me, just perfect. Unfortunately after that there is nothing else to do and gets real boring
Leliana is the other at the top for me. Romancing her isn't quick but it is also not complicated, take your time and exercise a little common sense. I love talking to her " I am a woman I reserve the right to be inconsistent. " Then after the big love scene I can still talk to her there is still more going on depending on what you are doing. All in all I think they did the romance a bit better in DAO.
Morrigan is next as she is a lot of fun but not really that hard and goes quickly.
That is it for me, no one else I like to romance.

Alistair and Cullen are even for first for me - maybe it is just their inherent goodness and personal stories that get me. Then Fenris and Anders. ![]()

DAO: Alistair > Zevran
DA2: Fenris
DAI Cullen > Solas
The best written characters for me so far in the DA trilogy are still Alistair and Morrigan.
The goodbye scenes in DAO in the final battle with Morrigan I realized how much I loved and hated her.
Spectacular writting for that character.
and Alistair
*sigh there's not enough space to explain how much I ADORE that char.
They truly brought life to those 2.
What they did for cullen and my inquisitor in DAI, I wish they had done for Al & my warden - a proper love scene.
