Has anyone noticed that when enemies die, they can still be hit? For example, if you're using spirit blade you will still lose mana if you hit an enemy that just died.
You can use this to your advantage though! Chaining lightning will still bounce off recently dead enemies and build up your barrier if you're an AW.
Reavers have it even better. If you use devour on an enemy that just died, you'll get health back, but Devour won't trigger it's cool down!
Has anyone else noticed this/uses it?

I think that's lag.

If it were lag, the cool down would be triggered, wouldn't it?

This has been in the game since launch.
Most enemies have a death animation once their hp has been depleted that lasts like a second before they disappear, and effects that would work on them when they were living still work on them during that time(well, except effects where you need to kill them or do stuff like crit because technically they are already dead).
Which as you said can be very beneficial for abilities like devour and such.

I use that to get back Guard from To The Death all the time! It's really useful, the downsides are not a big price to pay for that goodie ![]()

I tend to charging bull through enemies after they are dead for more guard or keep smacking a templar behemoth in its death animation to fill up my guard.
