Is it bad that I have about 8 characters, none with the story completed?

Elf Mage
Human Warrior
Abraham Lincoln
Qunari Rogue
Human Rogue
Human Rogue 2
Santa Clause the Freezy Mage
Human Warrior 3
I'm hoping to play all of them, but.. DAI is not like Skyrim. It can only support 50 saves at once.

Are you playing on PC? Because it's easy to just transfer saves to a different folder and save multiple characters or playthroughs that way.

That's par for the course really. Unfortunately, I had to delete some 'cause I ate up my 200 saves on all characters.

Not really, for DAO I had 16 characters but only 2 advanced to the battle for Denerim and only one slayed the Archdemon.

Meh, play however you want. Have fun! Although I do suggest you finish the game at least once... ![]()

And definitely watch after the credits roll.

Perhaps your first full playthrough is destined to be as a dwarf. You should roll up another character.

I seem to have a case of new character syndrome. Here's all my characters--
Elf Mage
Human Warrior
Abraham Lincoln
Qunari Rogue
Human Rogue
Human Rogue 2
Santa Clause the Freezy Mage
Human Warrior 3

Well, that still leaves you 42 saves to play around with.

Keep workin on it! =) You could keep an early save on all of them, maybe a key in the middle and an end save. But delete the rest for the characters you are not playing at the moment?
And definitely watch after the credits roll.
Ever played Starcraft II and watched the end credits? ;-)

Man, I wish I had 200 saves. On PS3 at least, you only get 30 saves TOTAL. EPIC FAIL!!!

Well, completed the campaign. Yay.
Shouldn't that be Human Warrior 2?
Abraham Lincoln is no "human warrior 2."
Well, that still leaves you 42 saves to play around with.
I have 2-5 saves for each character.

I'm on PS4, by the way. I'm a console peasant. Any way to do something like this on PS4?

I've finished one playthrough, my first one. All the others that I have played are about half way through. I'm currently doing a completionist playthrough, Level 17 Qunari DWR and only just finished Crestwood.

That's how I usually play these games. Lots of characters, few finishes.I seem to have a case of new character syndrome. Here's all my characters--
Elf Mage
Human Warrior
Abraham Lincoln
Qunari Rogue
Human Rogue
Human Rogue 2
Santa Clause the Freezy Mage
Human Warrior 3

I usually plan a lot of characters as well... but in the end, I end up re-playing the first one on the list because I am not satisfied with this and that. Terrible OCD.

Can't you copy your saves to another device, like a USB stick? I wish I could do that on the XB1. Here, saves are synched to "the cloud" and the user can't manually back them up. (Talk about epic fail. Deal breaker, had I known about it before buying in.)

No, it's not bad. I had a few false stars with this game before coming up with my current character.
In my Bioware gaming history I have a terrible knack for creating mediocre character builds without even trying - I still remember how I had to completely drug up my KOTOR scout/sentinel just to barely hang on during the final battle.

I tried this, but it doesn't work. Maybe there's some other way.

Are you me? With every game ever?
I... Still haven't finished DA2... Or Mass Effect... Any of them.
And I've got like 20 Origin characters but I've only finished the game with one of them. And I never finished Awakening, which I started with the orlesian warden cause I hadn't finished Origin. And I just know it's gonna be the same thing all over again with Inquisition once it gets here with my new computer.

Its a condition called alt-itis that's very common to mmos. For games like this it's more fun to create characters and headcannon them rather than actually play them through the story.

I have 92 saves for TESV.
Also old DA games limited you to 10 characters while Mass Effect didn't have a limit.
What is with these restrictions?

I don't understand why this game has a save limit while a game like The Elder Scrolls V doesn't have this small limit.

What is with these restrictions?
Don't forget how the other DA games don't have save limits. Why does this one do?
Also, I created numerous characters but haven't finished them since the game is too long and I'm a completionist so doing the same fetch quests over and over again just to see some small differences in story doesn't really appeal to me. Shame since I enjoyed playing DAO over and over again and games like Skyrim keep me entertained from hours yet I feel really bored playing Inquisition again.
