I had hopes for something like advanced tactics mod in DAO I was waiting this from the beginning...never happened and probably never will. Today I tried daimodtools and it's very basic good only for retexture in which I’m not interested. Mashing buttons, perfect timings, activating abilities and everything else in combat system is so tedious and tiresome. And like this was not enough you increased animation speed and added flashy graphical effects. Look, I'm sure many people like this stuff but not everyone. System already exists just implement it for main character. I will pay for it 30$ or 60$ at this point I don't care.

Look http://www.nexusmods...181/?

66,814 Total D/Ls

You gonna get rich and fast just do it you won't regret i promise.

so you'll pay more then the price of the game to skip on gameplay and make it even more streamlined?

sounds legit.

and this is why gaming industry going wrecks... instead of getting incentives to develop unique video game devs this days are getting paid to make more simple, boring, streamlined experience in shiny package.

I don't think you two are on the same page.

I prefer "designing" how my characters behave and use their unique skills and motivations for various outcomes i.e. automated behaviors to micromanagement.

You can get to the attributes and behaviors with 3rd party tools, but changing them is difficult and can be unreliable.  DAO simply had a page to set up team behaviors along with various automated behavior styles, DAI is a step back in this regard.  I agree that a UI change should allow some flexibility to modify behaviors instead of the hit and often miss of hacks.  However, with so much being entrenched in the character controller changes may offer difficulty.

Exactly. I could spend ours in DAO tweaking character behavior. But I don't want to push whose buttons myself. I do realize that advanced behavior like in DAO is now lost, probably forever, I just want to play something different then rogue-archer and I can't right now. Enable combat AI for protagonist bioware, let us observe battles and interrupt then\if needed. Below I give an example, my english is not very good and I have the feeling that I’m failing to explain what I have in mind. I don't use abilities here, just moving my character then I need to.
