Sorry I have to disagree this game is not the worst at drop rates. The reigning champion at that is, was and probably always will be mass effect 3 multiplayer I played it everyday for 18 months and still don't have every weapon.

Still missing the maul and longsword.  I've gotten multiple duplicates of everything else.

So many people (including myself) get a lot of staff duplicates.  I never hear anyone complaining about getting 10 mauls in a row.

 

You could always just chalk it up to RNG.. but I wonder if there is a glitch in the system as well.

Staves and bows are the 2 items I've gotten the most duplicates of.

Try only 4 dragon daggers, after 2 weeks of non stop farming 7-8 hours a day, when I hate dagger classes the most.

I have 0 uniques.  But practically any time I am dropped into a Threatening dragon game, it gives me the rare dagger.

Hard numbers from P runs last weekend;

2/50; and the 2 was a duplicate, of course. 2 Staffs of the Dragon.

Funny story.  I got the long sword and maul last night.  =)  Now I just need to collect the shield to complete the "dragon" set.

Three this morning and still 0 unique dragon weapons for me.  I am going to start logging it.

I knocked out roughly 22 Perilous Frost dragons this weekend, Sunday evening I helped my cousin get his 6 and during these 6 runs I finally got lucky on 3 of them. Bow, Dagger and Greatsword.

 

 

No interest in Dragon runs or the grind for a while now.

 

 

Bring on a trade/bartering system PLEASE!!!! Guys are complaining about having 6 staves of the dragon, 4 bows, etc.........

I have reasonable results. Around 11 or 12 perilous dragons brought in a bow and a maul. Other notable loot included purple spirit resistance belt (I have three of these) and purple cool down amulet. Maul is a beast especially with two tier 3 upgrades. Bow is fine but damage-wise for me, it is not much different from Cruel redemption considering that the latter can be upgraded.

Hmm, I guess I got lucky then from my victory chest ... Maul of the Dragon is my only purple dragon weapon (ironically I really wanted the staff or the 1 hander).  Of course, I already had Sulevin, so yeah.  Evidently I'm supposed to play 2handers and bow rogues, cuz those are the only end game drops I'm getting (2 griffin long bows and 1 Sulevin).

but be honest, the Ferelden Castle (as beautiful it is) only means that hords of enemies automatically come at you and you repeatedly press 4 buttons

I have been one of the most critical on here about bioware and their approach to this game, powers should never have been dependant on the weapons you use as it ultimately limits weapon choices. I'm still not happy with the content we have got overall but at least now bioware are attempting to make up for it. The lvl 24 weapons are the currently the best weapons the doesnt mean this will always be the case, with additional dlc hopefully on the way we might get even higher tier loot and more maps etc.

Not sure what I can say about your 4 buttons point - that's not something thats going to change anytime soon

For really enjoying this game you definitily need an extra incentive like craving for THIS or THAT special weapon

because the gameplay alone is not sooooo rich in variety, is it?

 

And thats why I was wondering what the guy is doing now after he got all of the dragon weapons.

Maybe for you, not everyone is just going for the top tier weapons. A lot of players focus on character builds and enjoy experimenting regardless of the weapons they have. Its not nearly as good as ME3 in this regard but there's still potential

After you get all the dragon weapons, you try to get the maxed out dragon weapon of each kind. =)   So be sure to check your base damage on those weapons before salvaging.  =)

I got the maul. As i didn't get to play too much but still managed the kill 6 dragons challenge, i was pretty pleased.

My Katari and Reaver are pretty damn happy too.
