Maybe for you, not everyone is just going for the top tier weapons. A lot of players focus on character builds and enjoy experimenting regardless of the weapons they have. Its not nearly as good as ME3 in this regard but there's still potential
Avvar with Dragon maul is a completely different character with different build. There is that. I struggled to get silver solo done with lvl 20 with Slayer in chateau. But yesterday I did castle for half the time and got a kill streak of 58 to boot with level 14.
