Goddess is a decent map. Doesn't have a lot of grab points. Some of the objectives aren't particularly easy, but that makes the map a little more interesting.
Lets talk about Goddess.

I enjoy Goddess. It's fast paced and pleasing to look. While the ground floor hack is obnoxious with enemies getting a firing arc on any particular piece of cover and the high ground, that's only one questionable objective compared. Compared to other maps, especially the hazard variants, Goddess doesn't show up that often when left to random selection and few PUGs ever preset it keeping it from ever getting old.

I hated Goddess at first especially against Geth because if you didnt have a good team it meant camping in the upper control room, and I hated that. Now it's like any other map to me.

I enjoy goddess. The only real problems I have are the hack circle in the main hall which is absolutely nuts, and cerberus turrets are absolutely insane on goddess (but then again they are ridiculous regardless of map).

Love the map but it is the one that usually freezes up on me while trying to play.

Race theme matches are the best reason to preselect maps
All Asari on Goddess and all Krogan on Giant are particularily fun
if Biovar had given us more Salarians or a Rannoch map......
Also all Turian Condor...oh wait ![]()

Oh wow. Do not preset to Goddess without presetting an enemy that's not Collectors first when it comes to PS3. I just started another lobby and that's just what happened. Super jumpy frame rate followed by sounds slowly vanishing, followed by the inevitable Collector crash. ... Sadness. ![]()

Just as well. She wasn't making loneliness and celibacy any easier to deal with.

TheTechnoTurian and friends did this several times over the course of a weekend a few weeks back. I was in on some of them and it was excellent fun.

My first hard freeze on xbox was on Goddess, on my very first day playing away from PS3 'issues'. My noodle was well and truly baked.
I do like the map though. Engineers can be a big problem, and I find Marauders' AI to be more challenging than many other maps. They seem to make very good use of hard cover, and their patience can make solo devices really tough. I've had a couple of all-Asari games which were just brilliant, and it really is a map suited to offensive Justicar Bubbles - some great choke points.

Goddess is my favorite map as far as just appearance. Pretty decent map to solo on as well once you get the flow of the map. I do hate it off host though because it generally always has issues with frames especially if you get Collectors on that map. If it actually "worked as intended" it would be in my handful of favorites.

A map is a map is a map. None give you incredible advantages and none are truly bad. Just deal with it.
Incredible advantages? No, that's true. But Condor is bad and makes games harder. Giant and White have layouts that make games significantly easier. Most of the other maps are somewhere in the middle. Goddess is kind of meh for me. Probably on the harder side as far as layouts go, but not exceptionally so. Really, it's most annoying because PUGs tend to try to camp on the elevated platform overlooking the main courtyard, and they frequently get overwhelmed when they do.

I find it pretty generic gameplay-wise, but I like its look, as it meshes well with the asari themes from the SP campaign; I particularly approve of the exploded wall close to the EZ, which I find to be a nice touch, a reminder that this is a war zone.
Goddess also has the mother of all ammo boxes, so big and sturdy you can take cover around it ![]()

I don't like how it forces me to extract in 15 minutes or bricks my system. Otherwise, it is a cool map, if a little too easy to nuke.

Not really true. Glacier gives you pretty incredible advantages if you're running AC V or Cain Mines. Rio has some really advantages as well if you choose to exploit them and know about them.

I like Goddess. Lots of grenades, not too open. Except for the hack circle in the lower level, in that case RIP.

I wouldn't call that incredible though. You can use any kit on any map and be successful, even if it is suboptimal. Yeah, sniper rifles on Glacier aren't great... but you can make it work. CQC on Rio involves a lot of running and kiting... but you can make it work. And so on. Same for the advantages. Grenade kits shine more on some maps, snipers on another, CQC on the next. *shrugs*
In other games you'd be truly fucked if you were using the wrong kit on the wrong map. Try a PPC/Heavy Laser Mech on a desert map and you will shut down after one shot and be a sitting target for everyone else. -That- would be bad.
But in ME3? Come on, this is a cute little PvE shooter... nothing here is bad. Personal dislike, sure... but you can make everything work out.

I see your point on a lot but you can ask anyone on this one. AC V trivializes the game on a small map like Glacier particularly in a team format. In solos it can take a lot of time and pain off of you as well. Of course that AC V is only optimized on a few kits though with Hunter Mode built in.
