Pretty much. Blue color of skin and head tentacles probably have something to do with it 
But more importantly, I think Valkyrie is a well thought out and believable character, whereas Fury is like a wet dream of sleazy, smutty fanfic writer coming true.

Played a Soldier in SP for all three games
Soldier is my 2nd least used class in Multiplayer
Favorite MP class is female Quarians (the FQE has more waves for me then the next 3 or so non Quarian kits combined)

When I first started it was the vanilla soldier as that's what I played in the single player and have a bad habit of getting stuck in comfort zones. Now it's the collector adept. Yes he's cheesy but I love the flashy melting of the dark sphere coupled with the having to be smart about recharging/swarm management and being a bit of a glass cannon if I go into ascension mode.
Adepts forever. Especially the HA and AA, that I find perfect and the two biotic gods / goddesses of the class. I like almost all the other, with the exception of the volus that I don't find very interesting to play and the Fury who bores me after 5 minutes.
I have trouble establishing a ranking for the other classes. I would say vanguards > engineers > sentinels > soldiers > infiltrators.
Vanguards for the playstyle and the mighty Slayer and Novaguard.
Engineers because I like pets (but not so much grenades).
Sentinels for the classy Tsent and the fun Warlord. I like the concept of the volus merc too.
Soldiers to play Rambo with high RoF weapons with Marksmen or the Destroyer. The batsol is fun too.
I like sniping with some infiltrators and Claymoring with the AIU but it's still my least favorite class.
Middle class

Then, Paladin.

Right now, Crusader.
Biotics have always been my favorites, and still are. My initial favorite character was the Human Sentinel, replaced by the Justicar when she was introduced. The Human Adept became my favorite after the Singularity rework, and it probably still is my favorite character.
And then there's Krogans. Krogans are tied for my 2nd favorite class. There isn't one I don't like.
I don't "dislike" any class, but I use Vanguards far less than any other class, because I rarely host. I don't think I have used a Vanguard other than the Batguard or Cabal in a looong time.
Always been Vanguards, honestly. No other class has resonated with me, the way the Vanguard class does. It just suits my style...

Hey did you notice that the person who designed the Fury must of referenced X-Man's Knightcrawler? (Think about it. The smoke, the teleportation, the face) All he did was change the sex from male to female. So a chick Knightcrawler in every way except Dark Channel and Biotic Booms. Cause a chick has got to have those Boom Booms.

Let me pull out Kalence... Ok, so the Soldier class has 2 Turians, Biotic class none, and everything else 1 Turian. Ok, I understand now.

I have very little interest in straight up FPS games, so I've always preferred power-based classes/characters...or weapon/power hybrids (e.g. HSol with CS).
Adepts have always been my favorite. Infiltrators have always been my least favorite...but I don't mind the Huntress (naturally). The 'rhythm' of TC has always felt fairly tedious and overall unappealing to me.
If we talk about classes that we wish we were better at...that would be vanguards in my case.
Started as Infiltrator, Engineer is now my favorite by far. Geth, Vorcha, Turian Saboteur, and Salarian are all some of my favorite characters within that class
Vanguard for life on both MP and SP.
I got Mad Love for the Poverty Class...they break their back's for next to no pay and still have to pay the highest amount of taxes. ON TOPIC my favorite class was probably Foods class. Me & the head Cheerleader were paired with each other and we got to play house every day.
The ones with quarians in them.
Seriously, I like guns, explosives and debuffs, and don't really care for builds that rely on spamming one power after another every two seconds for combos, which probably comes from being from a shooter background. Soldier and Infiltrator are pretty much the same thing in ME3 because of the way TC is optimally used as a damage boost and cooldown override. I like putting shotguns on my engineers because booms and lolcooldown. If I had to pick a favourite kit, it's tough to choose between QFI and QMS.
I don't think I've even deployed an adept in SP or MP. In general, I don't care for the concept of biotics.

Yes, same here. But I want her now on my new manifest for that yummy Tac-Cloak Dark Channel dps. Plus Tac-cloak helps with all my weapons being too heavy a level 1. So I have more weapon options open up. But I still want to find something light so I at least don't have to tac-cloak Warp as well to get the rhythm to feel better.
Adepts and Sentinels are my two favorites. Infiltrators and Soldiers I probably play the least and Vanguards/Engineers are probably the in between ones. If I had to choose a single character it would be the justicar. She just ****** rules. But the others in Adepts and Sentinels are so good it's hard to choose. Biotics>Guns.
