and on a side note,

I have also noticed that Izzy is not only the best T-Bagger, but also the best Torch-Walker, and in her non-ridiculous hat Pirate Armor, the absolute best Fade-Crawler!

One of the best things is to get a mic.    It really helps with the team play.  Starting out, group composition is important.   Know your class roles and the team will run much smoother.  For example, on the Elementalist, your main job is crowd control.  Keep your team from being overwhelmed.  Your second hat is barrier.  If you want a barrier spammer, keeper and virtuoso do a much better job.
