Hey guys, just wondering if i'm the only one experiencing HUUUUGE lag/frame rate drops? I've been playing for like an hour and every single match i've been in has had constant and terrible lag.
I'm not sure what is causing it because both my internet and PS4 are fine. It was working just fine yesterday, i downloaded the Black Emporium DLC today and after that the multiplayer became unplayable.
The only real bad lag issues i've had are on Ferelden Castle. Especially if you have buff crazy virtuosos in the party.
Haven't noticed any network performance issues on PC, but that is a different kettle of halibut than PS4.

Primary cause of lag at the moment. Could also be a bad host. Have you stuck in the same lobby the entire time or tried multiple?

Ive been having crazy black screen and rubber-banding issues since last MP event, its even worse now. I havent had one stable game since. MP was totally fine before. (PC) Im getting both FPS and Net lag....including disconnects.

OP you have a lag switcher in your game/lobby I suggest you kicking everyone to resolve the issue
PS4 player here. The lag is happening for me as well when I play online. The servers are overheating, I figure.

there is your problem right there, try to avoid groups with more than one virtuoso especially in ferelden castle.

Looool - how did this get through the beta? Its bad enough with 2 Virtousos in the lobby
Its not lag. Its more like a memory leak that occasionally occurs on the FC map. PC here. It can happen without virtuosos present, at least for me. Game starts hiccuping, the frequency of the hiccups gets worse and worse over time. Sometimes I can finish the map though by the end the game is like playing in freeze frame. Regardless, I always have to hard quit the game, which takes awhile because of the slowdown.
The 'slideshow effect' is one of the reasons why I laugh every time I hear ZITHER!'s 'Stand back and watch the Virtuoso at work!' line. Because what exactly is everyone else supposed to do in that mode? xD
Lag and framerate drop are two separate issues.
I experience severe framerate drop when two or more Virtuosos are in a party. Regardless of map and generally towards Zones 4 and 5. Framerate drop looks basically like the same game but in slower motion.
Lag usually looks like rubberbanding or feels like you are running against a strong wind/current. If you are bouncing around all over the place or getting damage from things you don't see, you're experiencing lag. I have been experiencing some pretty crazy lag on Ferelden Castle only, usually Zone 4 but occasionally Zones 2 and 3. At some points, unplayable and/or the game actually crashes me back to the PS4 main screen because it's so bad. Actually had a match where I used a Dragon Call on Zone 3 because everything was going smoothly, then out of freaking nowhere Zone 4 went to crazy Lag Land and crashed to main screen. Completely awesome, phenomenal waste of a Dragon Call right there.
