It does get new schematics as you play. What would you like them to add to the shop? I want Rune and respires, fade touched items would also be good.

I haven't noticed a different variety of schematics available, but the tier of the schematics scales with plot state. Some schematics weren't available until after the setback, and I think more become available once after both act 2 quests finish, and another after either capturing Suledin Keep or getting TSL perk, not sure which. The schematics are really nice, and I've got a few favorites, but I tend to go back only a couple times during the game. They are pretty pricey, but they're worth it if you want to splurge.
Ahhh....good looking armor. There are 2 styles available for each class, and they have the same appearance as existing armors. They have different configurations of slots, and take more materials to create, so they have more impact, but you won't see a new look. Sorry, I was hoping too. I do always make sure to buy them, because I do like one of them on Inq and the companions need armor too, but the one I like best is probably the one I'll find as loot at the end, with my luck.

It's based on level, as far as I know. Tier 1 stuff is available from the beginning, tier 2 stuff starts showing up at level 8, and tier 3 appears at level 16.

Split and Masterwork Tevinter Longsword needs to be put in that Emporium. It is very likely that their droprates are so low that it must be miracle to even get one of them to drop.

For some reason Black Emporium doesn't sell arm, leg and weapon upgrade only armor sand weapons.

I bought all the dragon bone that was in stock. It does not get restocked. The same with the other items that only have a limited amount
Tier 3 items become available at level 16 and tier 4 items become available at level 18

I went to the BE looking for crafting materials to make my armor black. But now that i think about it, I can't remember any material making it black. Maybe it's just a special armor you get for the Deep Roads expansion. Does anyone know if there's a material that will make armor black?

I wish it sold rune materials. Some of those are a task to find and the only other option is to buy them from the dlc merchants when the game is nearly at it's end.
