I don't think Skyrim's combat is perfect (even when ignoring how buggy the game can be), but it's an example of RPG combat that I enjoyed a little more than DAI. My favorite way to play was as a sneaky sniper, though, so that might be a factor. There was suspense and and that feeling when I eliminated a large group of enemies before any of them even knew I was there. I don't think DA has even done the sneak/stealth ability quite as well.

I'm not extremely familiar with Dragon's Dogma's system. I did play it briefly, and I actually found the combat very challenging.

I didn't mind Dragons Dogma but Kingdoms of Amalur is my favourite when it comes to RPG combat. The sheer variety when it came to classes, weapons etc, made the combat really fun for me.

I absolutely loved KoA. Had the most satisfying abilities that you'd never get tired of seeing because of how awesome they are. I love the fact that they give you the awesome looking abilities and spells early instead of getting it near the end of the game. Plus the game gets bonus points for class mixture, allowed me to use my favorite build, the Rogue Sorcerer. Faeblades + Chakrams = epic levels of awesomeness!!

DA:I Knight Enchanter build is close to my favorite sword + spell builds but not entirely. But the thing about Dragon's Dogma that made me love the game so much, aside from awesome and difficult combat, was the pawn system and online play. Making companions that can be borrowed by online players to use them in their game is such an innovative idea.
