Seems to me that the great swords got the short end of the stick this time around. There aren't many, even with the edition of the black emporium, Warning some spoliers for all 4 games (including awakening) follow!!!!:





So let's start with the legendary schematic for the Sulevan blade, the sword already in the game and the most powerful greatsword you can obtain through a side quest is given...a new masterwork schmatic great. As well as 2 regular greatsword schematics that aren't as powerful, fine wonderful. In the legendary weapons area of the shop...not a single greatsword. This in my opinion is a great misstep. See for those who played awakening you get to make a very powerful greatsword known as vigilance, a powerful legendary weapon that no matter your decisions...get's stolen and then disappears. Did it turn up in dragon age 2? Only if you had it on PC and used console commands, if you did it has an appearence similar to the Sulevan blade; but it isn't available any other way.  But it disappeared never to be seen again, didn't turn up in inquisition. What about Starfang? From the warden's keep DLC it allowed you to use meteor metal to make a legendary glowing blade for the warden commander; another greatsword never to be seen again. Might of the Sten an exclusive signature edition weapon for 2 you'd think (since we finally get playable qunari) that would appear, No. Or one of the interesting ones from 2 the Blade of Mercy, interesting history somewhat generic looking (but is rather powerful and glows). Perhaps the real one should have appeared in the game. I know I'm ranting at this point but as someone who is VERY fond of greatswords and won't use anything but on my warrior, I felt the lack of them in Inquisition was insulting; especially with Black Emporium STILL lacking them.
