So I saw a thread somewhere else about major game franchises (or individual games) people have never played, such as Metroid, or Zelda, or Final Fantasy, or MMOs, Halo, Mortal Kombat, Persona, GTA, whatever it is, I was interested because a lot of people had not played for whole console generations and entire categories, and also because I was interested well what's a series that people don't talk about that you play a lot of and like?

 

So for me, I have never played Halo. Also, Red Dead Redemption, um, pretty much all the Xbox/360/X1 games whatever is on there, there's definitely more (if you want to list as many or few as you like), but those are some major ones.

 

As for a series/game that I have played that no one really has heard of that would probably have to be this Korean MMO Aion I played a ton of that game, got all the way to 50, etc, it's not my favorite game maybe but I had a lot of fun.

 

Edit: Also never played any of The Sims, Minecraft, and all the Pokemon after Red and Blue, or GTA4 or 5.

Metal Gear and WoW

So for me, I have never played Halo. Also, Red Dead Redemption

What a shame, that's probably the best game I've ever played

Played Halo for 2 minutes. Felt like a waterpistol war game vs smurfs.

For me it's basically every console exclusive series, barring the odd bit of gameplay at friends' houses and so on. I had a fling with a PS2, but other than that, I've been a monogomous PC gamer.

 

Regarding Halo, the single player was pretty poor (at least, when compared to other FPS games out there when it came out like, say, Half Life), but the multiplayer was a blast.

Uncharted, Halo are probably the two larger that I've not played. Really any Xbox exclusive could be mentioned here. Uncharted is probably the only PS exclusive that I've not played

Vampire the masquerade, Neverwinter nights, System shock 2, That one game where you play as a dead guy that I can't remember the name of, jade empire. Mostly just really old PC games.

I really can't think of much atm.

 

I've been gaming since I was 3-4 years old and enjoy just about all genres of games as well as all consoles (besides PS4, Xbox because I'm not gonna buy a console just for one or two exclusives) and PC.

 

I'd say the only franchies I haven't played at all would be sport games like Fifa or Madden. If I wanna play a sport then I'll go outside where the graphics are better but the story line is shite.

 

There aren't many major games and game series that I haven't played.

 

But I have played LoZ games, Metal Gear, Metriod, Gears of War, Resident Evil, Ace Combat, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Army of Two, Left 4 Dead, Guild Wars, Mario, Super Smash Bros, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Mass Effect (obviously), Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, Painkiller, Neverwinter Nights, Payday, Prototype, The Darkness, some Final Fantasy, Rainbow Six, CoD (only the good days, new CoD suck), Battlefield except 4, KOTOR, Red Dead, Sonic, Need for Speed, Silent Hill, Amnesia, Star Fox, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Wolfenstein, the list will just keep going tbh.

^ Neither have I. Jade Empire was my first Bioware game and the only game that I went back to play afterwards was KOTOR since it was out for the Xbox. 

 

I haven't played a majority of the FF games and haven't finished any of those that I have. Nor KH. I haven't played a majority of MMOs (dabbled a bit with Runescape in High School and played about 20 minutes of WoW at a friend's) or sport games. I've never played any of the Souls games (Demon, Dark, Bloodborne) nor most Survival Horror (with the exception of Silent Hill). The list would just keep getting bigger and bigger so I'll leave it there. 

 

As for obscure games that I have played, would Star Gladiator count? There was also a game called Excalibur that I remember getting very confused at. Both were PSX titles.

I'm like whoa what have you played then?! Kind of thing..maybe something good I might enjoy ya never know. I was surprised at how many big significant games a lot of people haven't played, but then again a lot of those franchises are getting a bit long in the tooth so I can understand it at the same time.

your really missing out, that's all I have to say. Could be that I'm just a big Uncharted fan, but would recommend anyone to play.

I really enjoyed Bastion tbh. And the Uncharted series is excellent as Mr. Statham essentially mentioned. 

 

What about Age of Empires, OP? Have you played all/any of those?

Maybe, maybe one, I was never a big fan of the large scale RTS/civilization...thingy.. but I think I played Age of Empires II.

It looked cool but I don't just never got around to it... a lot of the time I'm just unaware or couldn't find time or something.

 

Metal Gear Solid

 

I saw this one quite a few times actually. I've played all of them cept the PSP one myself.

 

Also I've never played (for more than half hour or so) Half Life 2 actually, nother really big one. I did play HL1 though.
