You know how ME2, on pc (unlike 1 and 3), has that goofy video showing all the badass videogame fmv? I really liked the Liara capsule video from the bad ending of ME3 extended cut. Is it at all possible to take that movie and replace the file for the me2 title screen fmv video thing? (I like the idea of that video serving two purposes, a misdirection as if it were found after the war either by humans to recover it, or the next cycle to gain that information)
But yeah, I know there's some way to get videos out of me3 using explorer...if I wanted to take that video out of extended cut and throw it in me2's files for that opening fmv video, is there a simple way to do it?
Would it be possible to replace the ME2 "demo mode" movie with the Liara Capsule video from ME3?

Hmmm, should be as easy as recording that bit with fraps, use RAD Tools to convert into bik and replace the file in the Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Movies\ folder.

Only the first bit where you see the planet surface is a bik video. The second part in the bunker when the Liara hologram speaks is an in-engine cutscene. If you don't want to buy Fraps, you could try a free alternative, such as XFire (it's been a long time since I looked into this stuff though, there may be better alternatives now).
Also, if you don't mind a bit of quality loss, there is always youtube.

Just doing a quick drive by to suggest Open Broadcaster as a possibility for recording the scene. It's free and everything comes out looking pretty nice, imo.
Also, this is a pretty neat idea ![]()
