You have disconnected from the access point.

 

That's a new one I haven't seen before. There's so many ways you can get disconnected from Multiplayer. Host migration, Console Freeze, Black Screen, Falling through the world or enemies disappearing (have to leave the lobby to fix) PSN error resulting in disconnect... and now apparently access point disconnection? 

 

Can't seem to get through a single Ferelden Castle match without at least 2-3 of these happening to the group on one run.

 

Today, during 2 runs this morning, I saw 5 host migration/game freezes (other friend's hosting), 2 PSN errors (PS3, 1 to me, 1 to a friend) and then finally during the dragon as he was dying, I got a disconnected from access point message, and I got sent back to the opening game screen. I get nothing for that 2nd run that would've been a victory. We are a very good group, all of us on leaderboard with around 850-900 or so prestige, we can clear out the Perilous castle and dragon in around 10-15 min, but these 2 runs took over an hour.

 

Frustrated.

Disconnected from your access point is more your internet routers fault and not the game.

 

You should try a wired connection via ethernet if you are having wifi issues. I'm on PSN and i have nowhere near as many disconnects as you do, so I would say your own internet is playing a role in these errors.

 

Also what is your Nat type and what are your speedtest results including jitter and ping to your closest server?

run yourself a cable.  It will help more than just this issue. Online gaming over wireless can be a bit of an issue.

If your not wired and  you haven't port forwarded your console then don't host games pls  

 

Also if you upload is below 1mbps too.

I've been running wifi on my PS3 since I've owned it. I've played countless multiplayer games, Destiny, CoD, Borderlands 2, prequel, Transformers and FF14 to name a few. I've never had an issue with this kind of disconnects as I've had playing DAMP.

 

Speed tests are fine, showing around 25-30 mbps down, and 6-7 up.

 

I play with a guy that has a wired connection, and he generally hosts all our games. He has the same game freeze, psn disconnects, etc as I do.

 

Suffice to say, that in my experience with this game, vs other games, it's not my internet, but the DAMP servers, and general buggy quality of the game causing these woes.

 

This also has seen a huge increase since the recent dlc to include the Ferelden Castle. I don't have the game freeze, host migration, disconnects to PSN etc while playing in other areas, i.e. Chateau.

get  decent console to fix the problems...

 

seriously though you router probably needs a reboot and channel change if your getting that many problems.

 

if like me you utilise upnp and allow auto forwarding of ports through virtual servers there's a good chance your router is full of them if you didn't do a power cycle to it in the last few weeks, also if you use facetime or Skype when playing it can cause havoc with the game connection especially if your using a cheapo isp supplied router

 

I have 360 +xbone that are used online even when there next to the router they drop connection on wifi if a mobile comes with 10 feet which is why I wired everything up

 

 

and that totally ignores the giant elephant in the room of psn which gets hacked so often its not even funny any more, xbl gets attacked fairly often but not since xmass has it been a major problem disrupting playability (my kid bro uses psn all the time and is forever complaining its out of action for prolonged periods he also has an iPhone and ipad and is Burberry wearing chav!)

Time to get a PS4. 

 

Even FFXIV has problems running on PS3, I'm surprised PS3 can run Ferelden Castle without any htiches.

 

But yeah, disconnected from access point is a router issue and not a game bug.
