No Romance Ending (no spoilers please)

No spoilers please, I'm just curious to know if it makes a difference and if you think it's better with a romance or not.
I had gone all this time without looking at anything about the game as I wanted it all to be a fresh, new experience and I had no idea that two of the guys I was after were unavailable to my short lady self until I got into the game (although Cullen made his opinion known quite early). I played a Dwarf in DA:O, missed being a Dwarf in DA2 (although Fenris made it worth it) and really was excited to be a Dwarf again in DAI.

I got dumped on my last PT so it ended with me alone, but I do like how all my companions say goodnight to me at the party.
First PT I had Cullen though, and it ended like a fairy tail.
I honestly prefer the alone ending because having the heavy burden of duty all on her shoulders, with her friends by her side if needed just fits.

And this why certain unmentionable folk need a sword in them.
No one dumps me after damn near causing Armageddon!

I learned I could beat him to it and dump him first. Will do that next time! ![]()

So I guess it ends well enough.

Since Harding tragically doesn't count, I finished the game with no romance option. I can't say I liked it "better" than having a romance option, but I don't like romancing someone a love interest just so I can have one so it worked well for him.
It's not really very different but You do get more dramatically scored final scene.

My canon Inq was no-romance. As it was my first playthrough, I/she hadn't realized yet that flirting with Cass would prove unfruitful. This was my first non-romance since ME1 (my Shep didn't even attempt one there--too busy, plus military regulations and all that. Didn't stop poor Kaidan from trying, though). Being solitary at the end fit my Inq's personality and role, though, so it was all good. It's always lonely at the top.

That Pain avatar is so fitting for you.

Back on topic, I don't see how anyone can go through the whole game without connecting with at least one character. I can understand though if the character you want doesn't like you based on your race (that sounds so terrible!), but I would simply remake the character. Or, you can simply try out one of the characters compatible with your race and end up really liking him/her.
I guess I should also suggest, if you haven't, you should give Solas romance a try. It makes the entire game much more ... beautiful? Amazing? Just my opinion though.
