i have gone through the game twice myself and a couple of friends have as well and none of us got the dragon hunter acheivement for slaying 10 high dragons in one playthrough, i got them all before the storyline was over, and actually before each area was cleared, aside from the hinterlands, im wondering if this could be included in the next patch and if anyone else ran into this problem

Since the patch that fixed this, you need to rekill the last dragon before the achievement can be triggered

I apparently took a few play throughs to get it. According to origin I beat DAI in late December but only got the achievement in late January.

Oh, you'll enjoy that!  Kill a dragon and get nothing before it is back to health while you spent everything to kill it the first time.  If you're really lucky everything will come after you, giants and all.  If you can make it to the edge of the map you might be able to escape -no guarantee!

You have to reload after you beat it the first time.

Losing hours of gameplay in an already long game is never a good thing lol

You don't have to lose hours of gameplay - the achievement isn't tied to a specific save, so long as you reload and do it it's fine. Then you can go back to the regular save.

I have, I killed the tenth one maybe 2 weeks ago before I started my newest game.
