Which "unimportant" characters could have a bigger role in the next game?

Id love to see both Calpernia and Maevaris show up when we go to Tevinter. They'd offer two very different perspectives. I could get behind that for sure.
Calpernia could be dead though, right? So she might be more tricky to work in. That's the reason why I think it's unlikely we'll see Ser Barris again. He'd be a great candidate to show up, but his 'determinate' status makes it too tricky.

Way too interesting an antagonist for me to let die. At least, in my canon world state.I forgot Petrice could survive DA2 lmao. She always takes an arrow to the face in my games. :')
BUT I do love the idea of agitators like her. People who are convinced it's gotta get worse before it gets better, and will make the PC's life hell trying to do it.
I think Scout Harding is a lock for a companion slot in the next game. She was super popular and demonstrated to be a badass ranged rogue. She'll be the bridge character between the Inquisitor and the next PC and will likely be an ungated bisexual romance.

The thing with Calpernia is that her Keep tiles never explicitly show the skeleton other dead dead characters get. Combine that with her mostly ambiguous in game fates and the writers expressing their fondness of her, I think her return is quite likely.

They might like her but like I said nether Calpernia nor Dorian could actually return to the Imperium without completely screwing over the lore.Way too interesting an antagonist for me to let die. At least, in my canon world state.

It would be cool to see Athenril again. I miss that sexy smuggler.
Yeah, I would preffer to have her as a companion instead of Merril

If we head up to Tevinter, I'd love to see Dorian return. That's where he said he was going. I'd be over the moon if we got to meet Maevaris. She's all kinds of awesome, and I'd love to see more of her. I'd be delighted if Calpernia was there, too... but there's a chance she can die in the Temple of Mythal. She never does in my game (when I go the templar route, I always complete Under Her Skin), but not everybody does that quest. But the nemesis characters are tricky. Samson is probably dead no matter whether you chose Champions of the Just or In Hushed Whispers. He's riddled with red lyrium and quite frankly, looks like he's on death's door already. But Calpernia isn't taking red lyrium. Corypheus says that Calpernia failed if you choose In Hushed Whispers, not that she died. And if you kill her in the Temple of Mythal... well, this wouldn't be the first time a character who died in an ancient temple was restored to life.

I don't think there were any characters in DA:I that it'd make a heap of sense to bring back. But they've surprised me before.

With the WoT Thedas hints, I'm expecting to see more Maevaris and Rasaan when/if we start dealing with Tevinter and the Qunari, respectively.
Ah, Rasaan. Can't wait to concave her head.

I'd like to see Wade and Herren again I suppose if we have to have any returning characters.
Least they were tolerable.
Herren, the costumers again!

I would personally like to see Servis from the Western Approach come back. He was my favorite minor character in Inquisition, all of his codexes, especially his resume were very funny.

It would've been interesting to see her as our dual-dagger rogue companion, not to mention how her appearance would translate to the new engine. I did enjoy her VA as well.
I'm also in support of seeing Wade and Herren again.

I want more Belinda Darrow from the multiplayer. She's among my top three favorite templars in DA history, and I could really see her fitting the point on my wish list for a female warrior who isn't a stoic personality.
I would also like more Dagna, but I'm tempering my hopes there, since I doubt the chances of them bringing her back again. Same with Sutherland, who I love, but who's one of those that might not even be alive.

Better yet, an expansion ala Awakening, with all the MP characters as companions while your former squadmate are, elsewhere, doing stuff.
What? I'm allowed to dream :S

I'm hoping that they do, even if it isn't Belinda. Some of them have potential. Korbin, Luka, and Cillian are my other favorites...Zither! is so much fun to play as, but he's way to gimmicky for me to suggest that he should be featured prominently in SP (I also wish he was more mysterious and suave...but that's my limit on trying to rewrite characters for one day).
I really want Belinda, though. ![]()
My favorite part about MP is listening to the banter between the characters. I wish it happened more often.
