The same Leliana who failed to find the Warden and Hawke, or properly vette Solas or Blackwall on their respective backgrounds and credentials? It's a good thing I made her Divine, because she might want to turn in her uber-spy badge?

(Unless you were being sarcastic and I need to take my detector back to the shop?)

Actually I meant it. There is a good reason that Leliana didn't know the truths behind Blackwall and Solas. Particularly Solas. She should however be informed about what Magisters ACTUALLY are, and not what southeren Thedas think they are.

I suppose it might be due to not many people from the Chantry being comfortable discussing Tevinter all that much?

Dorian implies that it's minor heresy to even speak of the Black Divine, while Anders says in DA2 that wearing an Imperial Chantry amulet is a hangable offence... so the ins-and-outs of Tevinter culture being a blindspot in Leliana's knowledge does make a little bit of sense?

I think she might have known about Blackwall. She says something like "He's not what I expected."

She probably just kept quiet about it because she thought the treaties were more important than the truth, and the other advisors would have adviced against using them.

Could be, I could see her deciding to keep schtum to take advantage of the treaties, while she figured out who he really was and why he was pretending to be a Warden? Maybe she thought he might be involved with the Wardens going missing in Ferelden and Orlais at first, but then eventually realised that genuinely did not know where they were and - false identity aside - was genuinely trying to help them restore order?

She doesn't really comment on his deception or seem angry about it, come to think about it, unlike Cullen or Josephine? Maybe it's because she knows what it's like, since she went through something similar when she left her life as a bard to become a chantry sister?

I had assumed Calpernia inherited her old master's position and resources.

Sky Watcher (Amund) because he is a hunk of Avvar  awesomeness. I want to see those blonde locks under that helmet.

I would like to see more of Zither just because of all the time that went into him.

Calpernia being a magister would either require a forged Altus lineage, being chosen as a Circle representative, or having the title bestowed upon her by the Archon himself.

Her codex rules out option 1, and her history rules out option 2. I highly doubt the Archon would give her a seat on the Magesterium.

Potentially, The current archon did appoint someone like Aurelian Titus: Aurelian Titus is a magister of the Tevinter Imperium. Little is known of him since he has no lands and no family but only a reputation for power and knowing things that no one else does.

So it's possible that he can make Calpurnia in a magister.

The Current Archon was a decent guy and friends with Lambert and wanted to reform Tevinter, until he became evil

Why would he?

Also, Lambert got suckered by the current Divine, Urian, not Archon Radonis.

Well, Lambert shouldn't have become evil then, should he?

He was Lawful Evil, which in some ways, makes him far worse than if he was straight up evil, because he honestly thinks he's the good guy.

Lambert was not good or evil. He was a sap.

He died a failure and was quickly forgotten by Thedas.

I don't know if there's already been a link to that recording in this thread but if you listen to Patrick Weekes from around 15 minutes the calpernia theory is completely plausible for future DLC or DA games...

A rectification.

One beyond Origins.
