[Batarian Master Race]

Someone needed to preach the truth.

Shady is a real life nickname but the story behind how I got it is both long and kind of embarrassing so I'll keep it off BSN. For now at least. The engineer part, unlike what most of you might think, did not come from Mass Effect but from Battlefield, as I was our RL friends squad's designated engineer since BFBC2. Ah BC2. Dem memories.

But I digress. And since the engineer class was a favorite of mine when I came back to Mass Effect, I kept the ID. It seemed proper.

 

Avatar is a screenshot of Artyom from Metro: Last Light's ending. The "bad" ending to be specific. And just for the record, bad ending my ass. It was the better b/w the two if you ask me. So yeah, I really liked the games and the character so I set it as my avatar and have been using it ever since.

I chose this one for solely BSN but it is based on another similar name that I've used on many forums for years (that one was taken but nobody here posts with it, pfft.) It's actually a coincidence that it looks so close to my husband's nick, Arkhne.

Arktinen is Finnish, and means 'arctic'. My home country lies on the Arctic Circle. Hence the avatar picture, too.

Just maybe they're distant cousins. I would say that the Cigar gives HB some personal flair. And on closer inspection LD really looks like he can take some lessons from some ladies on applying less shine to his face, tho.  A good Cuban Cigar harmonizes well with Whisky.

The handle is an acronym of the first one I ever used on a forum, because not only I found people with similar handles on other forums but it also doesn't make sense unless you can read Spanish, and even know a little bit of the particular language of a particular region. Originally it had no caps at all, but people thought the lower case L was a upper case i. The "_gr" I added because I found out that just lvca was already used by some other person, I cant remember where, though.

 

The avatar I change from time to time, and when I first joined the BSN I had very recently seen Interstellar, and I really like the robots in that movie.

GT: kaxas is from an older Need for Speed game... There was a track by Saki Kaskas that I really liked (also known as the track from Afterlife in ME2), and Kaskas became kaxas. No capitals, out of habit.

 

BSN: Salarian Jesus... I think that came after a long night of doing ME3 solo challenges and a few beers. Since I held (and still hold) the record for the Mordus challenge (Salarian+Venom on Jade/Cerberus), I took the liberty of naming myself the self-proclaimed prophet of the Venom shotgun, since I really love that weapon, and to be fair, I'm pretty good with it.

 

As for the avatar... that came after a beer-influenced two minute Paint session after beating the previous best time for the challenge.

See most people think I am misogynistic but I love women, I have one as my avatar because well that movie is badass.

I choose nat in the hat when the 360 first launched because well I liked how I didn't have to use numbers as letters, that and my real name is Nathaniel, but my friends call me nat. And I always wear baseball hats.
