I believe I have read there are plans for a new story based SP dlc, but I get the feeling that there wont be dlcs like new weapon, armor, Skyhold upgrades etc.
Just wondering about what to expect.

Oh yes, there will be more patches. This will apply to the PS4 as well as other systems. I've heard of some bad bugs on the PS4 regarding TBE, so those will get worked on. I'm glad you dodged those, but those are being reported. The PS4 has been less problematic than other platforms (including the Xbone,) but it's been happening there too.
As far as what to expect from DLC, other than another story or two, we have no clue what they are doing on that front. I wouldn't rule it out at this point, but I wouldn't expect it either.

Certainly hope so, the tool set DAI is built on is far from complete. The developer of Starcraft said "...we had to wait for the tools ..." meaning NPC behavior, cutscenes, dialog, etc. in explaining the years of delays. Bioware is certainly going in the right direction to improve these things a step farther with their tools, just wish it wasn't such a rocky road. Bioware's path has been so disorienting that it's often hard to see the light at the end, still future games should show a benefit from all this frustration.
From a practical standpoint, Bioware/EA need to do DLC to vet the processes, test some things, etc. For instance, I hope Sera's developer can pull off one for NPC behavior to showcase and evaluate the improved capabilities. Probably have to be a stand alone mission, something like Leliana's in DAO - I see a lot of issues otherwise. Certainly one NPC with advanced behaviors can be supported on most platforms in an isolated mission. How much the NPCs can do and how many remain a question without a solid data point. That said, testing the behaviors is useless until some of the lag issues are resolved. Maybe those can be tested as well for more radical solutions.

As far as patches, I remember one specific mention was continuing to investigate why banter was not triggering properly for some people.
As for DLC, they did hint at the Deep Roads in a tweet a while back as well as DLC dealing with the post-credits scene. But whether those will be in the same DLC or different ones...?

I know there was the intention to give more spotlight/interaction with the companions in the future DLC. I would love it.
edit: actually, there are still the broken arms of the male elves that need to be repaired... :/

EA made an announcement earlier this year that they expect to have a fiscal year of around 1 BILLION dollars from DLCs this year (all their games), so it's a very good bet there will definitely be more DLCs incoming.

I think there will be a new SP DLC in June-July and maybe new MP (as long as its been successful enough for them?) in July-August, to make up our Summer I guess.
I laugh when I consider if JoH was sorta BW's response to Skyrim, so the next DLC (or the one after) will be their response to Witcher
.
We'll get more patches. Its more a matter of:
1)How often
2)How significant/big
3)Whether we'll care at that point
In any case, I think its easy to expect that this whole year is for DAI support in various forms. 2016, not so much (though personally I'd hope so, since there's so much potential in DAI that isn't really realized).

You'd imagine on timing alone they'd want to wait out until we're all done with TW3. Right now if DA:I had DLC I wouldn't bother with it for another few weeks, and I really love this game.

I'm curious about how much longer PS3 users will get patches. I still get the occasional freeze-upon-autosave problem, though not often. The war table freeze occasionally rears its ugly head as well, though curiously it only seems to occur when a lot of new operations pop up after completing a main story mission.
I'd love to see tweaks to stuff like the casual attire and so forth, though I'd love if we could simply switch armor entirely even when in Skyhold. I'd just craft an alternate armor to serve as the "casual" getup and the main one for going out on missions, switching out as I see fit. I'd settle for a simple tint for the PJ's though. A darker color would help immensely.
As for DLC's, I do suspect something to do with the dwarves is coming, or at least, I sincerely hope that there is. I'd love to see a dwarven city rather than just some unearthed ruins. I imagine that such a DLC would likely come with another new armor set and possibly another weapon or set of weapons.

Sadly, the entire game is pretty much nothing but potential. It had the potential to be great, and it still has some possible potential left. But due to very questionable design decisions which I won't go into, suffice it to say that I think Frostbite 3 was the wrong engine for the game, it is a potential that will probably forever remain wasted.

Done with TW3? So... 2016?

There are definitely still patches needed on PS4. I've been experiencing the 'characters don't do anything' bug on my last PT pretty strongly. Cassandra was active in fights, but Dorian would run my to my Inky and just stand there. If I took control and started him off, he'd continue using spells for a short while but then revert back to standing around. Sera did this less often, but often enough.
Also, not sure if it's a bug, but ranged characters aren't acting very... ranged. If an enemy closes in, they don't move. They just stand there getting hit in the face. I spend half my time in dragon battles shuffling Sera and Dorian around the battle field. ![]()

We will probably have patches that removes stuff from the game because single player exploits are bayydd...!
First it was the loot, then the materials, than the amulet of power.
Wouldn't be surprised if they patched the game to only have 4 quick bar slots instead of 8 to "achieve equality and parity between the single player and multiplayer to provide for an egalitarian experience."
You'd imagine on timing alone they'd want to wait out until we're all done with TW3. Right now if DA:I had DLC I wouldn't bother with it for another few weeks, and I really love this game.
I don't think so.
The hype and praise for the Witcher 3 is not going to die down, it is only going to get better. They have tons of free single player DLCs coming up, they are bugfixing the game very quickly, they have two expansion packs in store for the players, they will be releasing a modding toolkit and plus their developers interact with their fanbase on their forums far more and get far more positive results.
CDProjektRed is way of out Bioware's league right now, in terms of, well, everything. Story ? Witcher 3 wins. Side quests ? Witcher 3 domination. The little details ? Witcher 3 wins. Immersion ? Flawless victory for the Witcher 3. Environment ? Witcher 3 wins. Discounts for loyal fans ? Resounding victory for the Witcher 3. Modding ? Witcher 3 wins that too with the upcoming REDKit.
Bioware holding out on DLCs for the Inquisition because of Witcher 3 is the equivalent of an ant trying to quarrel with a boot. It can't for it will just end up getting crushed.

Witcher fanboys are truly insufferable. A customizable protaginist>some dude with white hair. A party based combat system>some dude with white hair with a sword. The option to choose from big two handed weapons, to bows and daggers, wielding real magic (not some weak little signs), or the good old classic sword and board>a dude with a sword. Also DAI actually has enviornmental diversity. Witcher 3 might have a huge open world but so far it all looks the same. At least DAI has everything from deserts, to snowy mountains, lush forrests, and rainswept coasts. Been playing both games but still have more fun with DAI. Also DA has a nicer fanbase.

Would both of you kindly not derail this thread with something that has nothing to do with it's topic?
Tishen-13, if you liked to provide in-depth feedback on what you subjectively feel Witcher 3 does better than Dragon Age Inquisition then you know where the thread for that is in the forum.
KotorEffect3, the same goes for you even if you'd like to provide on-depth feedback on what you subjectively feel Dragon Age Inquisition does better than Witcher 3.

Id like to see DLC around
*Kal-shirok
*The warden civil war
*Qunari - kossith and their creation
*Finding Solas
*New specialisations for each class
*Lace Harding romance
Never going to happen. Bioware seems fixated on unimportant content.
