Hello, friends of the forums,

when I have finished my first DA:O playthrought a few years ago, I wondered what the online profile on Social network does. I have found out that for some characters, there is an option to see their "diary" - you can see how the game did progress and it created a nice diary-like text for player to see.

However, with the introduction of Keep, this part of Social has been shut down and changed to read-only data. This means that it is impossible to create a new story for the Warden. At least from that point. However, since the Keep import is not working - and has been abandoned - I have figured that the best way how to replay DA:O and preserve that replay without having to finish every quest with pen and paper would be to get the interactive diary working again.

Does anyone know if it it still possible, or of there are any similar services you can use to get the story? OR - is there any modder (I doubt we'll get official support for this) who can make some interface that would read the choices made during gameplay (or from importing saves) and pick up only the choices so that they can be written into readable file, or at least shown on screen? I know that there is a tool that can create .das files to be imported into DA2, but I wonder if they can be read as well... And no, rewritting the informations from DA2 introduction screen is NOT the same. It is still fullscreen interface, mostly, while I am looking for something to check with the Keep on side so that I can set my World State.

Wow. I... never heard of it. It looks amazing and is exactly what I hoped for. Thanks a lot, phaonica! It is sad that the author does not have IE version, but ah well, time to install another browser already...

thanks for this @phaonica it'll be a lot easier to use this than trying to enter all the data in manually as I progress through the game which I've had to do on my first couple of runs

I'm glad that will help.

Be warned, that the importer isn't perfect and sometimes gets things wrong, mostly because DAO and DA2 save files are buggy (which is probably part of the reason why the Keep doesn't import them.)

Here is a link to more info about the importer if you're interested: http://forum.bioware...ot-viewer-beta/

Do you think the importer is still being worked on? From what I see, the DA2 support was added last year and there was no word past then. Sjaaklej hasn't been on the site for two months himself...

I don't think it'll need to be perfect for me anyway as I can tweak the choices it gets wrong anyway

you could always try PM'ing him @illsteward if you run into problems with it and I'm sure he'll help if he can. I know I'm going to try using it when I'm finished with my current Origins playthrough
