If there's a thread like this already can someone plz link for the life of me I can't find it.

Anyway this is a basic thread of who you think is the best protagonist and why?

For me it is Hawke because he is overall normal person who isn't trying to save the world. (Getting swept where the wind take him/her). Although my main gripe would be the choice factor in certain scenario, but that's off topic. 

I think the plus side about his/her character is the relationship he/she holds with their companions. Inquisitor feels like you're just hiring people. And Warden has people gathering for a common cause.

True, the companions all fight with each other there's no escaping that, and certain people can take the rivalry route if they wanted.

But I like Hawke because he's friendships feel kind of real to me. The Varric and Hawke bromance being my biggest example.
