Give our Inquisitor a Spirit of Valor. This can not go wrong.
btw: my Inquisitor mages want a friendship with a Spirit of Valor, too.

I thought Spirit Warrior was the advanced version of the Arcane Warrior? I may be mistaken

Spirit Warriors are mundanes augmented by spirits that they've made deals with - in return, the spirits get to participate in the physical world when their powers are unleashed by the Spirit Warrior. There's also Justice who inhabits Kristoff's body and augments it with Fade powers (though in this case he is the spirit rather than a mundane allying with one). Arcane Warriors meanwhile are mages who've channelled their magical power into their physical abilities. The closest things we've had to Spirit Warriors in DA:I are the Seekers: mundanes whose powers are derived from spirits of faith.

In that case if what Bad King is indeed true, which I suspect it is.. I'd fully support a Spirit Warrior class in DAI or DA4.

Only if they make unlocking it interesting. I really like the idea behind having trainers to make a dedicated spec, but I feel like they could go further with this to actually give at least some indication that there was training going on, or a proper mission as a "final initiation" as it were, or in this case, the deal being made with the spirit. In Awakening, you just unlock it and that's it.

I would very much like this too
Some of the war table quests unlocked by Quizzy s choice of specialisation sounded like they would be fun to play (Artificer and Necromancer especially).

I've always wanted to have a prolonged encounter with a spirit of wisdom or faith in game. I wonder if this could be a good opportunity for that.
I'd like another Spirit Warrior companion as well, but one who fits the the definition of Spirit Warrior more precisely (mortal with a connection to spirits), without actually being a Spirit. Someone to contrast with Justice.

My ideal spec unlock quest would be that the Inquisitor goes out on the mission with only the trainer, and you gradually unlock the powers to take out enemies selected by that trainer in certain locations. Your Trainer had potential to be very entertaining in this respect. In my case, it would be Heir taking my Inquisitor to make short work of various miscreants in the most efficient way possible.

My headcanon was that my Hero learned it after being sent to the Fade in the Blackmarsh.
