What on-hit weapon abilities do you want?

Weapons like Sulevin Blade are great because they have both good stats and on-hit abilities, and some weapons like Deathward are useful despite having lower dps because of their on-hit ability.

 

I would love for more weapons getting unique on-hit ability. A weak bow or staff that have 10% chance to cast Barrier on hit, or a dagger with Elemental Mines, sword with Dispel / Mindblast, some non-magic weapon with Battle of the Bands, things like that.

I approve this thread! I may or may not be working on something similar to this right now anyway :bandit:

 

I'll tell you right now Barrier is not going on a weapon. Every other idea should be fair game though :D

I´ve been farming it for the last couple of days, 1 routine solo a day nets around 100 kills, so I should be done soon. I can say that the banner alone is definitely worth it  :)

Easier with flask of fire spamming toxic cloud with the ring on FC map, solo on routine or threatening. Perilous if you feel really feel perky (just look at Isabella... I mean look at her! as you can tell). That said, toxic clouds would be nice to have as a proc.

 

Edit: Note I've been using very trolly Alchemist builds recently. Not very efficient ones, just absolutely trolly. Enemies faint from the farts Luka does. Maybe it was all those mushrooms she ate.

There are already weapons with chance to poison though, they just have terrible damage so the poison is not useful.

 

Chance to cast Toxic Cloud / Poisoned Weapon?

 

Troll option - Staff with Charging Bull on hit, for the typical overconfident AW

Yes but with a Weapon, or even better a Rune, it wont be a thing to do alone(which is a bore), you can farm while having fun playing with friends.

Percent Chance weapon abilities (Chance to proc on use)

 

- % Chance to Stun an enemy

- % Chance to produce a stagger AoE effect (similar to unbowed)

- % Chance summon a Druffalo for 10 seconds to fight for you

- % Chance to instill fear against nearby enemies

- % Chance to release a High-Dragon breath effect (Fire, Cold, Shock) against nearby enemies

- % Chance that killed enemies may leave a Spike Trap

 

On-Kill weapon abilities (Enemy must be killed)

 

- On Kill, an enemy becomes charmed and fights for you (similar to spirit mark - would work best on a staff)

- On Kill, attack speed is increased by X percent

- On Kill, an enemy will leave an Explosive Toxin cloud

- On Kill, cooldown times are reduced by X seconds (the weapon type will determine how much the reduction is)

 

Situational Weapon abilities (Requires a certain condition to be met)

 

- X% Movement speed bonus when an enemy is X meters away from you (this would let melee characters stay ahead of the group and get to enemy faster)

- When Guard is active, you gain X% additional armor

- When health is less than X%, you gain X% damage reduction

 

Special Weapon abilities (Changes the property of the weapon)

 

- Shield Wall has a chance to reflect arrows back at their attackers (obviously for S&S characters)

- Your two-handed weapon swings faster/slower, but you deal X% less/extra attack damage

There are already weapons with chance to poison though, they just have terrible damage so the poison is not useful.

 

Wicked Grace disagrees.

 

 

Aside, I would love to see a 5% Barrier on Hit like mixing Guard on Hit with Fade Shield.

 

Also, I'd be good with new chance procs too: 10% Chance for Pommel Strike on Hit (Dagger), 10% Chance for Warcry on Hit (1h sword), and 10% Chance for Spell Purge on Hit.

Shield that has a chance to activate shield bash upon using shield bash.

% chance of Knockdown would be lovely for our Coup de Grace users, especially the Katari. Something like that would go a long way towards getting someone to use a single target 2-hander over the generally better AoE 2-handers.

It's not something that is in the game (at least not currently), but I think it would be hilarious if there was a staff that had a chance to cast Spirit Blade (on target, since if cast at the player's location it would be next to useless on any non-melee AWs). As a melee AW, it would be like "Yo dawg, I heard you like Spirit Blade..." :D

You have already gifted us with the mighty caltrops bow, I only ask for a weapon that has a chance to cause spike-trap (preferably on a staff or two-handed weapon)

How about some regen accessories? Like regen +3 (health, stamina, mana) a second.
Or a Haste belt 10% attack speed. Make a combo that gives your group buffs or regens instead of just damaging a group of mobs. Make unique weapons and new armors stand out more.

2Hand weapon with Chance on Hit: Veilstrike. In SP, there is a masterwork material that does this and it's really great because of the advantage 2Handers get with knockdowned enemies.
