Well.. since this is a "Bunz" thread:

 

I have been working for about 6-7 months with this girl younger woman named Kim. She is very hot. There is a different Kim who works in a different dept. who is about 75 lbs overweight. I am not attracted to the 2nd Kim, for obvious reasons. 

 

Anyway, we (my sexist pig co-workers & I) call the 1st Kim "Hot Kim", & the 2nd Kim "Not Kim" 

Not to their faces, as we are cowards. You know, in conversation. 

 

The point of this sillyness is: during the last week "Hot Kim" seems to be interested in me. I am dumbfounded. Apparently my flattery is finally paying off. She claims to have a boyfriend who is "meh", yet persists in the flirting.

I can't see how the question if RPG gamers are bullies can be answered in a Forum which refuses to define or discuss what a cRPG is.

I have been writing about this lately for a site I contribute too, it's basically subjective tastes that magnify perceptions of what is good or bad, and we tend to categorize things as such.

 

The bigger problem is how fanatical people get. To quote Spencer Tracey from Inherit the Wind "Because fanaticism and ignorance is forever busy, and needs feeding." That is a bigger problem since people don't like to be challenged, its either black or white, no gray in their worlds in terms of what is good and what isen't good.

 

Case en point, look at how fanatical Star War's fans are.

I normally see most posts from the Codex having orgasms over anything from Obsidian including something like Alpha Protocol whereas New Vegas and Pillars are the only recent games of theirs that I would praise.

 

But yeah, that's why I dislike the Codex due to the amount of crap they spew about individual developers within a company whilst providing little contributions to the world of gaming themselves.

 

The RPGCodex review of Alpha Protocol did do some gushing over the game's writing and reactivity but still demolished it for how terrible the rest of the game was and boy was it bad.

I would not know.  I loved the graphics but rage quit after that first computer.  It moves too fast for me..  I couldn't do that hacking shtako and gave up...
