I wish. When a whole place is full of elf root, I don't want to waste few seconds kneeling around.

+1.
This utterly worthless animation is probably responsible for most of the frustration in the game.
Well perhaps not most, but without it the game would play better and feel a lot less tedious.

I agree, the QA system should detect repetitive tasks in development like this that directly impact player patience -its a detractor. I do feel that the animation is worthwhile, but give options to auto loot at some point and/or send folks out to gather more often. The addition on the war table is good, but I think team resource management is key and the impact of different teammates on the outcome of looting missions. Say, Solas returns more fade materials, Varic lyrium, etc.

I'd like it if you could set your party members on auto gather for resources.

I wish it was at the very least interruptable. Maybe not gone completely for immersion reasons or whatever, but interruptible or avoidable by player input (like a double click)I swear, at least 5 to 10% of my gameplay involves watching that damn animation.

I have not played sense Dec. (got Bored ), I am trying to get the update downloaded, I am Happy I think that they may have given us a way to reshape our characters appearance, but I have not been able to test that yet.
Anyway I do remember that the gathering of needed item's was tedious, ( as well as troublesome to understand just what you needed to keep, and what to throw away) at best, and got some what boring. So yes a hit space bar, and gather all would be nice once in awhile.
But then sometime's I am in the mood for a little slow, methodical game play too. as long as I have the time. It sort of depends on what real life is dealing me at the moment, as to how in depth I want the simulation to be.

While I appreciate the immersion a loot animation gives to the game, due to the large amount of looting that is performed in any given session of play (especially during a game like DA:I) that eventually the loot animation loses it's appeal and just makes looting become more like a chore rather than a reward, particularly when looting flora scattered across the map.
