I am fairly sure max item level is determined by the interaction of in game chests opened and store chests opened. I think being too low on the in game chest count will damage your item level no matter how much gold you've spent.
Yeah. I have basically only bought large chests since I started playing. A potion chest here or there at the beginning.
It's a shame there wasn't a prestige thing for treasure room chests, then I could see how many I have opened.
I hate you aaaaaaall (not really). 
I got nothing from the stuff I needed (Superb HoK, that best shield, Super Stamina Ammy, any good dagger, Superb Crit ring). Oh well, there's still tomorrow. 
But it's a bit disenchanting hearing that everyone is getting the best stuff and I got nothing.

and let me just say boy does it make a difference with the warriors made it to zone 5 on FC with a lvl 1 reaver , would have beat it to but didnt think to leave any mobs alive to re up my hp against RTC.

Hmm, I had around 24k stashed, and made maybe to 32k today. So that's around 15 chests. I have roughly 700k in my gold challenge, so I should have passed that mark for the max item level that Drasca spoke of on a previous page.
But the game pretty much hates me so... 
Finally got caliban (3rd warrior chest). So far 3 warrior chests opened and i've got 2 uniques
Must be nice, I've opened about 15 Warrior chest and haven't gotten 1 Unique. Every accessory item has been an ability ring,...it's been a frustrating day.

I would buy some Platinum, but my in-game overlay is broken. It worked for the first couple of weeks I had DAI, then just stopped. I have tried closing basically everything else running, and some other trouble shooting steps. It has also stopped working in Titanfall, but it actually works in the Witcher 3 (at the moment). Anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?

Witcher 3 defaults to full sized borderless windowed mode. If you set DAI or ME3 to same mode, some overlay problems are solved. But it is Origin drm incompatibility with overlays. It is caused by any other overlay even if it is inactive and does not display anything on the screen (MSI afterburner, steam, uplay, even windows or antivirus popup updates).
But yes, Witcher 3 runs really well for me. So far, I've played about 20 hours in the story and have not had a single crash and the game is generally very stable. DAI tended to crash or glitch out every 5 or 6 hours. It is at about 40 fps only and controls are not very responsive on PC, but Witcher's medium graphics are >>> high/ultra graphics in DAI.

I don't know what platform you're on, so I can' exactly troubleshoot it. If you're looking for a workaround, platinum is available in the PSN/XBL/Origin store.

To be honest, that's not very many chests if you're looking for very specific gear. I got almost everything multiple times... but I've spent about as much this weekend on class chests as you've earned total in your gold challenge. ~ 250-300 chests worth.
That said, you have a VERY GOOD chance of getting the items on your list. I repeat, I got almost everything multiple times. Probably 10-12 Heal on Kill rings alone and around half a dozen Superb stamina (honestly, I lost track). You didn't mention crit damage or chance. Life drain is in all chests. Stamina in both Rogue and Warrior chests.
Even if your odds are 1 / 30 for Heal on Kill,and 1 / 60 for stamina that's so amazingly better than buying large chests and in-game chests. You wouldn't believe how long I played without superb stamina, and how much I've spent before that.

Afaik, you purchase it from in-game. Maybe others can help you here. Twitter Bioware for help, or call EA support too

I'm glad you got lucky, but tbh you got lucky that you got it on chest #8. I got maybe 1-3 calibans* over the course of around 300 chests (not all warrior chests of course). 1/100 is about right for your chances here... (though definitely not 1/10000th like large chests)
*hard to remember. so much salvaging.

If they moved the odds to 1/2, I'd still be farming gold for 12 hours to get one unique.

Since we can't view item level, what's your wealth score, and how many class chests have you opened? Also when's and what was your last sacrifice to the RNG?
My wealth is about 875,000. I've opened about 25-30 chest all together. I lost count, but I opened about 10 rogue chest last night, and today all warrior chest.
I got a few uniques from the rogue chests last night, wicked grace, dexterity amulet, sup crit damage ring, but all of the warrior chests that I've opened today have been pretty useless, not even a good armor upgrade item.
Edit: My wealth is actually 887,000, I just checked it.
I pulled my second Sulevin Blade from my first ever warrior chest, not bad 
Bought several more chests, and I got jack and ****. Ugh...RNG hates me.
I've had a good run this week.
I won't rub it in with what I got, but a few superb accessories were involved as well as weapons.
Which is sort of rubbing it in actually.... Oopsy.
It rubs the salt in the wound or it gets the hot sauce again!
