I would like to visit a Comet or a planet that's sapient and hostile but in a more subdued fashion.

https://www.pinteres...ifi city scapes This has a lot of cool futuristic cities that would be cool to see in a video game, especially Mass Effect.

A planet with nothing but water and massive storms, with just a few buldings floating on the water. I love water and having a planet with just that would be awesome.

This could give the option of using a submarine and having underwater combat. The enemies here could be gigantic mosters as big as a reaper or the Queen worm on tuchanka (don´t remember the name) Here are a few ideas for a name of the monsters:

Leviathan

Kracken

Aquatus

This reminds me of Kahje, the Hanar homeworld.

Planets that aren't scattered with small blips all over my radar telling me to "go here, do this!" or "go there, do that! -- QUEST COMPLETED", first and foremost.

I want to explore planets that make me feel like this galaxy is big, so by that I mean, very barren and empty planets that have wonderful atmosphere and beatifully but kind of ominous vistas, and signs of life that's probably been there for a thousand years.

I also want planets where there's inhabitants in small settlements, but I'm going to punch my screen if I hear one more "Tired of waiting arooound...!" type of dialogue that repeats, repeats and repeats. If there are settlements, make them feel organic, living and breathing (unless it's just synthetics)

A tidally locked(one side has never ending night, the other has never ending day) planet facing it's star.

That would be an interesting planet to explore, mindspike. Especially if we can go to where the two sides meet, an eternal sunrise/set or twilight.

How about reclaiming desolated space ships and stations via a zero-g trip in a spacesuite?

A planet like Kahje. Domes areas and tubes underwater so you can see aquatic life.

I don't know people, I just feel that what locations look like, 'feeling' the environment we're in, so far that hasn't been a major component of what makes Mass Effect be Mass Effect.

I mean, coming from STALKER, the Zone is the most alien thing a game has offered me -- bar none. I can say with certainty, building a convincingly palpable atmosphere with nuances takes a lot of doing, a lot of resources. I mean, Tuchanka's radioactivity suffers from it-happened-off-screen-itis, no?

The "world" of Mass Effect in my book, it's not the galaxy, the stars, the planets, and what not. I didn't fall for the marketing-friendly 'scale' thing before, I'm not about to start now. Whatever we get, it'll likely be some variant of what we already have on Earth.

The world of Mass Effect is the relationships with the brilliantly fleshed out squadmates, the interactions with the complex secondary characters and their motivations. The 'world' of Mass Effect is to find out the little gems of moments that happen at a given location when you switch the squadmates around; it's the priceless look on Garrus or Tali's face when I pick James for a tech task and the only way he knows to go about it is to mow down anything that looks electronic about it.

I always liked the look of Ilos.  It had an alien vibe to it.
