I've been watching youtube videos about the Citadel DLC and I was going over the Thane videos and I remember him saying "All I see is a desert" for his last video but i can't seem to find it anywhere on youtube.
Anyone know where I can find it?

You can just search up "Thane romance Citadel DLC." It would be faster. Also, he's in the wall behind you if you wanted to know. Biovare quality!

I've seen those vids... he doesn't mention seeing a desert in his last video.. I think the way you unlock that dialogue is if he somehow survives ME2 and you don't do his loyalty mission, and you don't romance him.. so he has nothing in his life therefore the last line of his videos is "All I see is a desert.", the context being that he believes in that ocean god stuff, and the desert is hell for Drell I guess.

Damn, that's even more sad. Never heard this line myself. Your suspicion sounds right though.. it must have something to do with loyalty.
Sounds plausible. After all, Thane's loyalty is saving his son and reuniting them, so if you did that, he would at least have his son on his last months. His story is very sad overall, actually.
