I actually deleted like half the people on my FL not too long ago because they were just never on, or were straight up awful at the game. You can only carry so much before it starts to get on your nerves.
There's a few on my FL who I've never played with, because of timezone differences, but I keep 'em because their cool people.

I like players who know how to do missile glitching speed runs on glacier. Instant friend request.
I also like players who are decent enough to be able to handle platinum comfortably and who understand basic things like how to kite enemies, nuke spawns, optimise various characters with OP loadouts, help with objectives, etc. I like score-whores because the games are usually much quicker.

For two reasons. Firstly, if I'm playing legit platinum, it's infinitely more fun (and much easier) with half-decent players. Time zone is a factor as well. I've accepted friend requests only to later lose them or cut them because our playing time isn't aligned.
I used to play with a lot of Brits back when I was on console, I had to be on in the early morning to play with most of them, and they would be off by around noon. Even worse when I was playing with some Aussies a few years back awesome guys, but damn that time zone difference.
I very, very rarely sent out friend requests to non-BSNers. We'd have to have played multiple games, and they'd need to have been great teammates.

I am drunk and when I use my capture card to record porn from the internet app on my xbox I shut off notifications so when I put the scene on a dvd they dont show up. So if you get on and send me messages I always forget to turn notifications back on.

Second thing, when I'm missile glitching with noobs, I still lose a lot of games because noobs don't understand the game at all so they don't help with objectives like devices and hacks...as a missile glitcher, you still need your teammates for certain objectives which you won't be able to do alone, so if you're playing with ultra-noobs you're likely to lose the match (as I just did now - I used up all my gels doing a central hack on London against Geth, by myself, in a four-player match).
Well, at least the newbs "are" playing correctly and will lose while retaining their dignity. Question is: What are you doing with newbs on Platinum in the first place?
Unless it's been arranged here I generally don't send FRs. I figure if they want to, people can add me but otherwise I don't want to bother them.

Gee, I was going to say then you're the scrub if you can't solo via missile glitching. But then remembered I like you, so disregard.
I think friends are for Platinum, but pugging Gold with big time losers & no manifest or gimped is manifest interesting enough to forget about sending invites to my FL. Guess I should change this one of these days... ditto for hosting more.
Also, when I accept FR, I'm in full retard mode. So I never turn anyone down. Case in point; got someone on my list named "a gay emo." I don't hesitate, I full retard accept.

Kook always missle glitches or he quits the match if he can't do it. I prefer my friends list to remain at Absolute Zero... I dont have 1 person on it and I want it to stay that way. i'm a 1 match/game kinda person..Hit'em and quit em is my motto. i get requests all the time.. DENIED. send me 1 sometime so you can be denied as well.
Usually I don't bother with friend request because I live on a hectic schedule so I can't always be a reliable teammate. Unless someone has pissed me off beyond heck I will accept those sent to me
