A Flamerless Geth Trooper specced for weapons damage allows for heavy rain of lead on enemies. Basically, one minute of full auto: Dakka! Dakka! Dakka!
The only Geth the Spitfire is good on is the Juggernaut because of Combat Walk Speed. Otherwise you're wasting to much time re-ramping up the Spitfire, and thus wasting dps because firing the Spitfire on most kits almost locks them in place. While a kit like the Destroyer/Jug can keep that weapon ramped up while searching for the next enemy + actually being able to properly position yourself as the combat field adjusts.
ie. If I'm playing Jug on Condor, I'm right in the middle of the stage only letting go of the fire trigger to reload my 400 or something ammo clip. And I'm still able to cruise around for cover or dodging brutes as the situation calls, while also fully role-playing Rambo 2 complete with me yelling into the mic. That's what the Spitfire experience is all about.
Lancer and CSMG depending on the kit. I don't like the CSR at all and feel dirty when i use the PPR.
You don't feel dirty when using the CSR? Seems just as OP to me, if not pretty close.

In my experience, Hunter mode specced for weapon damage (>ROF) makes the problem negligible. And, using AP bullets on it, combined with soft cover, means that not even Harbinger in metal and cannons will pass you. Switching for a secondary weapon (I'm partial to Crusader with GTS, but Piranha is good too), negate the speed penalty, allowing for fast relocation when you're flanked (if ofc your team is unable to work together or at least cover you, otterwise, you become king of the hill for the entire match).
It's only for Hunter mode + bonus damage with Geth weaponry, that I find the Spitfire competitive even on Plat, but again, only with a flamerless GTS.
Ppr is the most effective IMO. All of them are pretty good. Most don't like the collector sniper rifle because they can't shoot worth a damn.

I use and like all of the regen weapons, but (speaking as a mostly helpless scrub) the easiest of them for which to complete the weapons challenge is the CSR by a long way. With Incendiary Ammo on the DAI it all goes swimmingly.

Collector Sniper Rifle
Lancer, mostly for aesthetics and feel. All the others are effective, but I don't really use SMG's outside of on the quarksman (and MM doesn't mix with overheat guns on this game), find the CSR relatively uninteresting to use (though it's extremely effective), and hate the PPR
Lancer. It just "feels" how an assault rifle is supposed to feel on a game like this. It's perfect: very effective and can fire for a long time, and yet, isn't OP in any way.
I like pretty much all the infinite ammo guns. CSR is my 2nd favorite.
Lancer. It sounds good, it's light, and it does decent damage
PPR is a ramp-up and sucks vs Geth. CSR zooms in too much and can't hit things that are too far, CSMG runs out of ammo too fast.
Spitfire is also infinite ammo
