The inherent villainy and corruption of the mage is not in question.
Alrik, Meredith, Karras, and Lambert would like a word with you...

It's not like Corypheus' goons went about broadcasting to everyone he was one of the seven magisters.
And besides, Fioana doesn't know what she does in general, so her acting on impulse and **** the consequences, not so out of character. No surprise there, really.
This is the same person who sat on her ass while tranquils were killed to make magical spyglasses.

She's an elf, and a weak mage from his point of you. So I doubt she got the honor to gaze at the perfection that is Corypheus.

Probably not Cory is pretty conspicuous
Or more like the devs didn't want to spoil that the Elder One is Cory yet. How would you have reacted if you talked to future Fiona and she outright said "Oh hey, the leader of the Venatori is a darkspawn magister".

I don't think Fiona or anyone actually knew about what was happening to the Tranquil, Clemence says that Alexius made it clear that he didn't want them in Redcliffe, so people might have been under the assumption that he'd evicted most of them from the town?
That the revelation of what happened to them lies behind a locked door, makes me think that the Venatori were keeping their Tranquilidoscope operation hidden from the people of Redcliffe? Of course, they could have hidden the evidence a little better, but then, we've seen across the entire Dragon Age series that no-one knows how to hide incriminating information?

I mean that's a lot of disappearances to explain, not to mention the smell

I should note that I actually feel sorry for the templars as well. I feel sorry for both sides. I happen to favor the mages in my canon world state, though, because I just find their story and perspective more interesting.

It's not like anyone else but the PC enters other people's houses, so I'd say it was a safe hiding place.

Besides Prosper anyway.
You have to work your ass off to get his secrets.
Forgot about Prosper, that man was paranoid about his valuables.
It was a shame we had to kill him, I'd have loved to have tried to steal from him again?
(And that guy who had the Tears of Andraste in Origins, he was a challenge as well... I really miss being a thief in these games?)
