I haven't played in a while so this might be a regular occurrence, but is anyone running into hacked games? I've had several where I alternately am either invincible (don't take damage at all, or take damage but can't go down), unstoppable (everything dies in one hit), have infinite grenades but ammo boxes don't work, or any combination of the above. These effects seem to turn on and off at random throughout the match, and I think they affect everyone in the game (although I've seen people go down while I was invincible, so I'm not sure). idk if the server recognized it was hacked, because on one occasion I didn't get any credits after the match (though the post-match screen showed +150k or whatever) but on another I did.
On PC, of course.

If they turn on and off during a match that sounds like really really bad lag, are you on wifi or moon internet or anything? Hacked public matches are normally pretty rare.

Calling them hacked is not entirely correct anyway. They are modded or perhaps cracked, but hacking usually referes to messing with computer/network security and not with changing the code of software.

It's a rare thing, but it does happen.  In about 3K games, I'm sure I've wondered in less than 20 games that were hacked lobbies, so not often.  

 

In the past 2 weeks, I've wondered into two, both from the same guy, on two consecutive days.  He was using the hack that instakills all enemy spawns.  I have it on video as well.  The word "Universe" is in his ign.

 

I complained to him both times about it, and told him I see nothing wrong with hacking a non-PVP game, and that I would appreciate it if he would just do it in private lobbies instead of me wasting my level IV gear on a Plat game, and joining a hacked public lobby.  The second time, he just left the lobby.

I ran into a Platinum, one shot kills. When I asked WTF, I was told that it was the easiest way to earn quick money. I quit in disgust.

I want to earn money aswell..., but CHEATING and that is what this is, should never be an option. I just don't see the point.

I've fallen into a modded lobby once. It wasn't all unicorns and rainbows, and it was probably the lamest modded lobby I've ever been in. Basically, we all had very, very short cooldowns and since the host's connection sucked, the enemies were already a pain. Fortunately, the host could not walk through walls like I did.   If you're going to use your hax, I will use mine too.

Aside from my own custom wave mods, I rarely land in a modded game. I love Husk modes a lot, so does my girlfriend. It's the only thing she'll let me play. Walking dead fan, that's why. Husks can be a real pain during certain objectives. Someone over here already mentioned how quickly your team can get overrun.

I too am landing in an increasingly high number of modded games.  I would say it is as much as 5-10% of matches in the past 2 weeks.  Most are the "1 hit kills everything" type.
