Fitness won't help you to do a device while something is attacking you. Even a Juggernaut or Worlard is going to get into trouble.
Yes it does.

That's probably more accurate especially if pugging Plat. I don't give a crap how good a player is there are situations you just cannot overcome.
I had a gold match on Jade with the Drellguard and I had over 270k and devices come up on wave ten. My team was dead before the second device was capped and I just could not get the last device no matter how hard I tried. I don't think I could have played it differently or better and had success. It just was not possible given the device location and where the enemy kept respawning.
I've had more wipes on Jade than any other map, even though it's not one of the most common places to be on PS3. I think the worst was a (notverylol)Silver game against Collectors. Even now, after an additional 1500 hours experience, I get the sweats just thinking about it. That device spot can simply be impossible to get through. I also had my one and only wipe with cato on Jade.
I do love the map though, partly because of its occasional complications.

Yep, the device by that damn plant that basically has lines of fire from every direction. **** can hit you from the balcony, bridge, basically anywhere on the map. It's almost impossible to get unless you're playing an infiltrator or tank.
lol yea there's always that one wave or objective that flips my table over.. On a side note.... anyone can become a top tier player in this game if they truly wantedReading this makes me realize how bad I suck. That's probably about my rate when I try with decent characters and guns. There always seems to be one really bad wave that screws me or I get instakilled.

10-15% is actually my PuG failure rate on gold.
It's lower on plat because I tend to goof around a lot less on plat.

Me too. I never forget to bring some cheese there. Prefer more hipster builds for Gold.
Yes it does.
Yeah? Prove it. Take a kit and try to complete a device while being attacked.
Sometimes being able to take a few more "pew, pew" hits is all that is needed.
Being tanky'er also means having an easier time saving your decoy pugs, which in turn increase chances of successful objective, because; 1) they are still running around drawing agro or trying by playing the revive pileup game while your busy doing devices; 2) you don't always need to waste a rocket to safe them in impossible situations.
That was so easy, Daemon. But that's ok, because your ok.
(ie. Incoming like!)
saving bad pugs if anything makes devices harder and in some cases impossible because they often insist on a revive circle jerk around the box/ plant of destiny instead of kiting the enemies away.
also obligatory lolfitness. Unless you need to backhand something off of the device, it's useless.
Pugs only need to stay alive long enough for me to finish it. If they wipe but I still get it done, I'm fine it, because cleaning up non-re-spawing enemies is nothing. So even if they die at the very start of an objective wave, I'll still try to get it done. But them dying early on other waves. No. I didn't sign up for soloing every wave (especially with some setups). So naturally I put in enough effort to make sure we're all in the game. If not, I'll gladly accept a team wipe, because that means we tried and failed together as a team. /spread the love.

If its the one I'm thinking of, I managed to do that device with all my team mates dead as a wave 10 final device, cerby plat. There is a little v-shaped area you can squeeze into that gives you 'some' cover. I was probably really lucky though too; watching a nearby Atlarse slowly trundling up to me...
We got the loot, but we wiped cuz I can't solo for toffee.
I think in our case it was/is literally zero.
But then that's probably down to you crutching it with your big Jugg, right?!
![]()
In case anyone takes that seriously, FireRider100 plays the best damn Jugg / PPR you'll ever see.
That's so cheeky
Although you do know me well; Jugg is my default kit for plat. Almost any kit for gold though ![]()
Lag and clueless pugs are the main reasons for wipes; you never know when those instances will happen
Most wipes happen when no one else does the objective. Bleeding out / getting stomped on while doing an escort on Rio is bad form but some players don't seem to understand or care.
Since I'm not choosey when quick searching for Gold matches (outside of certain map / enemy combos), I can end up with weaker teammates who probably aren't ready for Gold. One synch kill and the match is over.

Yep. Most of my fails in pugs are due to running out of time on solo hacks or escorts. They simply aren't possible at times without a broken tier DPS setup enabling you to smash everything before it gets close, because doing them yourself requires staying on them for an inordinate amount of time.
Then there's the lag induced magnet sync, which is pretty much unavoidable, though If I join a lobby where the ping is so bad that I'm getting killed through walls or grabbed from 10m away I'll simply leave unless I know the host. Nothing annoys me more than that.
If I fail a Gold game with a full team, its either because we were too stubborn to use our missiles, or I was too stupid and risked my gameplay to run half way across the map in an attempt to revive a partner who refused to use a medigel.
I play mostly Gold PUGs, and I'd say that we at least fail to get Wave 10 credits in bad PUGs about 10-15% of the time, and in a decent PUG (meaning at least one other competent player), we fail maybe 5% of the time at most.

I could have written this after a couple of games yesterday. The first Banshee on Vancouver was my own fault, but the second? No waaaaay!!! I would have quit, but, y'know, I kinda knew the host... ![]()
(Edit: My fault, due to dodgy connection speed at my end - your host is normally absolutely fine for me)
No idea, but failure is rare as I am picky which random group I run with. Maybe 1 in 20.

Let me know when your ready to play. I run a mean Adas wielding Krogan Shaman.I haven't failed a single mission in ages. Mostly because I haven't played.

Anytime I lugged with smeckie or nat. They're terrible
That's cause they are noobs. Srs talk.
Every time I've to clutch >3 waves in gold and end up with no gel left. At that point, extraction become a delusion 99% of the time.
Let's say... 1/20. At most.
