Go Jeff Gordon!
I call him Flash Gordon, because he gets to the finish line in a flash!

Open wheel racing beats Redneck Racing any day of the year.
Even if Indy Cars are essentially doing the same exact thing. Road courses beat ovals any day.
Indy has races on both, which I think is one of the most interesting things about it. Some of the drivers that are good on ovals will be useless on R&S courses, and vice versa. Adds some variety in the results.
I don't prefer ovals, but they do a much better job of it than Nascar. The latter is basically WWE level in how manufactured it is nowadays. It's more of a show and marketing excercise than an actual sporting competition IMO.
No credit for you, you Limey!Give me a little credit.
I went to the Indy 500 once. We parked in the front yard of a guy wearing a white NASCAR tank top and a NASCAR cap with his ponytail sticking out the back hole on the cap. The race was postponed after 50 laps due to rain, and we got to watch them run those gigantic jet-turbine dryers all over the track for an hour in rain and 45F temperatures. Then they announced that there was an actual tornado down in the area. We high-tailed it back to Cleetus's house and GTFO. I think they re-started the race around 5pm and IIRC, Castroneves won.
I'm not going back.
No credit for you, you Limey!
I'm not actually a limey.
So your saying you don't have or do have Scurvy?

Edit: I don't know why your paying attention to me anyways, I'm an idiot.
That's a negative on Scurvy.
I do have dual citizenship, but don't consider myself British.
No kidding duel citizenship for England and the U.S.?That's a negative on Scurvy.

if you are going that fast, you better be running from something.
I suggest they add a flaming boulder chasing after them.
You're not the only dude from Indy here. That said, you are the only Hoosier.
I'm a Californian by birth and choice. It just sucks that I've been trapped in that god-forsaken state (Indy is the extended middle finger of the south after all) for almost ten years now.
^Definitely a happy drunk.
Sad thing is Ive never watched an Indy 500 as much as I want to. I live close enough that it is blacked out until the race is over then they replay it. I want to go one of these years. Just to get hammered of course
Just remember to buy your alcohol the night before. You didn't used to be able to buy liquor on Sunday mornings in Indiana. Not sure if that's still the case.
Monaco is always awful.
On Ayrton Senna days it wasn`t. Good old times.

I came here oddly thinking this was a thread about fortune 500 companies. Since it's about racing though, I approve.
I guess this is the appropriate thread to discuss the validity of Remy's hotness.
Nah, I'd rather talk about cars moving in a circle for 3 hours.

Yeah, I hate the blackouts. I'm able to go to a 500 if I want to and get some good suites with my Dad's press pass, but I really haven't seen the point. The sport as a whole is on the decline. 500's not selling out anymore. Plus, I really cannot stand the IMS politics anymore.
I wish i could post Remy gifs (I got a few) but I would suspended.
Now we know who reports you

It's been shagged to hell these days. Every great track has been. The best ones are Melbourne, Suzuka, Interlagos, and Silverstone. The rest just aren't what they used to be.
Oh Senna. I was almost named after him.
I was named after Nigel Mansell and James Hunt. My dad also thought about naming me after Emerson or Tom Pryce (in his and my opinion, the greatest racer who never won a race, discounting that exhibition race.) He could have been a world champion. He should have been. Hell, he would have been. But, tragedy happens.
Schumy's my favorite driver of all time. He was cool too. Handled fans with grace. Got rushed, but still, knew how to handle them when it counted. The irony being that I traditionally don't like German drivers. Or athletes. That said, I acknowledge so many others. I think Senna is... indisputably the greatest racing driver of all time, period. Of any auto racing series.
My parents are *massive* F1 fans. And I am too. Weird being one of a few Americans that do love it. Granted, there's a fanbase for it. It's underground and obscure, but it's there.
