I would love to finally see two dwarfs in a romance.
If there some kind of issue with their height try showing them from the waist up or covering them with a blanket from the waist down.
Come on get on the ball. My Dwarf wants Dwarf love.

I'm hopeful that DA4 will rectify this. I'm expecting Scout Harding to be back as an ungated bisexual romance. I think that the flirting with her was a way to gauge interest in a dwarf romance and, since she's been popular, I suspect she'll be back as the 'returning character' companion.
I just hope that they continue to offer racial choice in the next game too.
The statistics, again, for people who play along at home: BioWare have given us full romances with forty humans, eleven aliens, eight elves, two half-elves, a Tiefling and a one-eyed Qunari. And zero dwarves.
It is indeed long past time. I hope DA4 is the game (and Harding is the gal!) but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Where did they give us the Tiefling?

NWN expansion, if I remember correctly.

Cool. Never really played the expansions. Got stuck in one of them due to a colour puzzle. Not easy for someone who is colour-blind.

It was a male romance for female characters. I'm going to play again NWN soon, since I buyed some time ago the diamond version, and I remember very little of the expansions. ![]()

I remember beating the main campaign, which was rather...lackluster. Aribeth was cool though. I bought it last year on GoG, so I might replay it at some point. But right now I am actually drowning in good games. And I have yet to beat Planescape:Torment and Neverwinter Nights 2, as well.

Does that count the SWTOR romances too? I'm assuming so since I don't think there were 11 ME alien romances, right?

I realize this might be much to ask, but...could you make a list of the romances. Just curious about who all of them are. Been awhile since I played many of the old games.
Here's all of the games except for NWN (which I've never played) and SWTOR (which I've played, but no romances, so I'm not sure who is and isn't a romance)

I hope Scout Harding is a test for a dwarf character romance (or a dwarf female) and not a Scout Harding romance (because we could flirt with Varric in DA:2 as F!Hawke, yet no Varric romance). I very rarely am actively against a returning character, but I just am not a fan of her specifically. She's just so mundane and uninteresting.
Scout Harding is somewhat romancable, though. You can flirt and whatnot with her, but it doesn't end with a lovescene. I think Juhani in Kotor doesn't have a lovescene either.
Yes please! I'd love to have a dwarf LI finally, though I'd prefer if it wasn't Harding she's pretty uninteresting to me. Though I doubt I'll be very picky if we ever do have a dwarf LI, I'll probably just be glad we have one at all.
Sigrun. She needs to return as a romancable companion.
Sigrun!!!!!!!Sigrun. She needs to return as a romancable companion.
Sigrun!!!!!!!
Yes please!!!! Most likely never going to happen but I would be over the moon if it somehow did.
Same here. She was great. The new limitations on the classes would kind of ruin her, though. I mean her Legion outfit can't be worn by rogues anymore and she would be limited to 2 daggers. No more dual axes for her.
I'm all for Scout Harding to make a return, but I'm also wanting to see more dwarf characters and how they'd be written and designed in this feature of the game. Like, we've got Varric as the smart-mouthed charmer, and Oghren as...yeah. And while we've seen Sigrun, she's only an expansion character and not in the main game. Then there's Dagna and of course Harding. So compared to the humans and elves, there's not much range with this dwarf companions, however nice they are (most probably because they're limited to two classes, but whatever).
I'd personally like to see someone who's quite serious, militant, and disciplined. And looks good doing it. And how their story would play out in the main game (as well as their role in a romance subplot).
You had to open that can of worms, didn't you?Because David Gaider said "Ew".
Sorry, just felt like that is a requirement in Dwarf romance threads.
I hope to see dwarf LI's in next DA game..
and Salarian LI in next ME ![]()
For the record, I was using the same list as daveliam to get my numbers. Only I keep forgetting BioWare made Kingmaker because I've never played it, so I forgot to count Calibast and Kaidala. I guess that makes it forty humans, eleven aliens, eight elves, two half-elves, a Tiefling, an azer, a nymph and a one-eyed Qunari. And still no dwarves
. (Although, it also makes Calibast the closet thing to a dwarf romance they've ever done, since I gather that azer are basically the dwarf equivalent of fire genasi. Maybe I should try to track it down.)
As for what counts as a 'full' romance, that varies wildly from game to game. I only counted characters that you can have an ongoing relationship with, that have roughly the same amount of content as the other romances in the game, and that BioWare seems to consider 'official'. Flirting with Harding doesn't grant the romance achievement, and you can't say you romanced her in the Keep.
If I counted everyone the PC could flirt with or sleep with, there would be some dwarves on the list, but it would also be much, much longer. And I'd have to decide whether to count people you paid for sex, or characters like the noble hunters who only want to bone you for economic reasons. I don't think a sex scene is what makes it a romance, since there are plenty of characters who don't have one. (Most recently, Josephine and Solas.)
Anyway, the purpose is to point out that in fifteen years, BioWare have never let us have an ongoing romantic relationship with a dwarf. And it would be neat if they did.
I don't know, I'm worried a dwarf romance would have little content, and make for a short playthrough.
