So I wanted to make my character gay and I see that Zhevran is the only option and he seems to only emphasize sex and not a relationship.  Plus he is ugly...I would have rather had the option of Alistair.  Plus why do some of my other characters talk about a "thing" with Morrigan when I never even tried to have a "thing" with her.  I think it's interesting they included a gay option...as limited as it is.

according to the guide it is possible to gay it up with allister, it's just much harder. (no pun intended)

Id say thats about an equal representation of the real world gay/straight population. Maybe the other NPCs are not gay? Imagine that!

Well, not everyone is gay you know. The options may not be as ideal as you like, thought I suppose if sludge and the guide are correct they may be, but I think it's rather unrealistic to be able to have every sort of relationship combination with every party member.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. I guess I got caught up in all the choices of the game that I forget that I can't choose everything. Well I think they could have at least done without the promiscuous stereotype of the gay guy.

Hmmm, I'm definitely gonna try to figure out how.
Alistair is the only good looking male character I've seen so far in the game.

Not without an unofficial mod.

The Equal Love mod turns off gender checks for certain dialogues, enabling men to romance Alistair and girls to romance Morrigan. There was a more ambitious mod (bond of blood?) planned that was specifically going to rewrite dialogue and have a gay romance with Alistair that was actually different (and a little harder to navigate) than the female. It hasn't been completed AFAIK, though.

To be honest guys, a male PC can easily romance Alistair, I did so in my first game by accident, had to "dump" him and get him all upset because I was actually trying to romance a bard.

All you have to do is get his loyalty up and be nice.



So really you dont need a mod to make him romance you, you simply have to actually do something about it rather then just walk up and hope he will go on with it.

There are also mods that will change Zevran's look if you don't care for him. Some changes are quite sweeping and might be just up your alley. I really don't think they were going for the stereotyped promiscuous gay man with Zevran, just a male romance option who would be completely different from Alistair.

Zevran didn't get a chance to hit on my char. He got a longsword thru the gut.

I don't care much about romance options whether straight or gay. In Zevran's case, he was an assassin who was paid to kill me. I learnt a long time ago playing Bioware games not to trust NPC's. with questionable motives. They always turn on you in the end. So, when Zevran asked for mercy, he just got very dead, very quickly.

If you got a male warden to romance Alistair on an unmodded game you're in glitch hell, for better or worse.



That being said, if the OP is playing on a computer... mod mod away.

Because you've obviously chosen the dialogue options that initiate a romance but haven't won enough approval to go to bed with her.

I'm guessing that when you asked her about growing up in the Kocari Wilds, you said she could "probe" you any time. That's a pick-up line, on the off chance your innuendo alarm didn't go off.

And yes, Alistair isn't available for same-sex romance without a mod.

You could unlock an achievement like Milf Hunter or Granny Shagger.


I guess we should have romance options with Dog and Shale too.
