Can someone explain what the Respc upgrade is actually for, I went on google, did some reading and still confused

let's say you are level 10 on whatever character and realize the way you chose the abilities is not working for you:

you craft the respec upgrade, go to the character selection screen and under the character you want to respec there is now an option (don't now what it's called, but right from the promotion button) and voila your character is still level 10 but you can choose different abilities/passives now

Or if your character is level 20 and you can't be bothered or aren't into promoting But yes, the point of it is to try different builds. Pity it costs 5 cloth

It is the same thing as we requested and received in ME3.  For players who want to try various builds without promoting to do so.
