I am accumulating a lot of gifts and they are clogging up my inventory. I know i can give them to party members to make them like me. But can i delete from my inventory them after i have given them as a gift ?

 

I can still see them in my inventory but they are greyed out.

Have you tried selling them? If that doesn't work, then your game may be bugged.

2 options-sell them to the merchant in the party camp, or store them in the chest with the Warden's Keep DLC. Any merchant should keep them, the camp one is just more convenient.
