Ugh, I didn't want to do the Templar path again, but hooking up Abernache with the goat-flinger is just too tempting! Why did I do that stupid flag ritual?! I was thinking the whole time, "I hate the People, I hate the Chantry, and I hate the Templars - which one do I hate most?"

What does he say to non-Human PCs.

To my Trevelyan he said he had mentioned the Dales because House Trevelyan had played a role in its downfall.

"It is not unlike the second dispersal of the reclaimed Dales." Orlesian prig. What a satisfying end!

The flag ritual is a complete waste of f***ing time, in this regard he is completely correct.

I know, a whole five seconds -- down the drain!!

Yes, he has his "Dales" line and Trevelyan gives him a blank stare. Then he explains he mentioned because House Trevelyan fought in that war.

What does he say to non-Human Heralds?

It might take five seconds, it might take ten minutes, depends on the Inquisitor. It might take no time at all as you spin the wheels randomly, but then, why do it at all in that case?

Regardless, it's a pointless gesture that is completely irrelevant to the task at hand.

Something to the effect of "Divinity puts you above such things, I suppose" if I remembered right.

Abernache should be a gated romance for the female elf.

Seriously though, I honestly liked the guy personally. I think he's funny. Like a little puppy who yips because he thinks he's a guard dog. But he's also pretty smart. His only real fault is that he lets his pride get the better of him sometimes. But if he lives he apologizes for showing cowardice, so deep down he's a decent guy.

My male human mage respected him the entire time. He went along with Abernache's suggestion to skip the flag ritual.

I got the option for the Movran/Abernache team-up, but I thought sending Movran to Tevinter with weapons was better.

What would have been great is if Abernache had shown up again at Halamshiral as an ally that you could either defend or throw under the wagon (bus) when a few nobles bring up his cowering at Theirinfall. Another bonus would be if Movran could show up with him if you teamed them up.
