Has anyone else noticed a sharp increase in sound glitches?

More specifically sound effects either so low you have to spike the volume to 100 to have even a dim noise or not functioning whatsoever? When it's just the background music not working or a personal gun sound missing this isn't really anything more than a nuisance, but:

1.)mute banshee screams

2.)phantom palm canons not pewing

3.)geth prime canons not announcing the shots

4.)Silent Atlas rockets and scion arm canons

are not cool. I have lost count of the number of cheap deaths I've had today from these absent cues. How do you play around a glitched sound or is the only solution shut off and reboot the game?

Sometimes yes.

I never fail to hear the sound of my character announcing shieldgate (when I'm lucky enough to get it) and then dying though.  <_<

I totally forgot you had a J Peterman account, one of my favorite episodes is when Elaine buys the $8000 hat and has to get him to sign for it.

I had trouble understanding David Diablo when I teamed up with him the other night, but I think that's just because he doesn't speak like a proper American.

I've had these glitches since the release of the game but they occur only very rarely. Maybe once every 100 missions. A restart of ME3 fixes it.

My personal gun missing the sounds is just as bad as not hearing enemies though.

I've noticed a significant lack of visual warning that shields have been broken (=bloodied screen). It's gotten me killed way more often than comfortable.

I hate that bloody screen. It's just another hazard for the player.

It's too much... when I'm about to die, I need to see more, not less. Still better than in ME2 though.

Except when you're using the Adas and the firing sound glitches to silent. That's a blessing :)

Especially when I'm not hearing the Adas. Then I need to actually -watch- if I am shooting instead of just hearing it while I pay attention to the enemies.

You have to admit that it's realistic, though. I don't have a shield or barrier up right now, and my entire field of vision is filled with blood, just like in the...

It's not realistic at all unless you have a headwound bleeding into your eyes. Considering that at least half of the kits wear helmets... :P

Realistic would be time slowing down due to the adrenalin boost, pain being ignored, senses going into overdrive, brain activity spiking.

Not that it's entirely helpful. Most times it happened to me it was too late to do anything. Bike crash, went from driving at the speed limit to kissing the street in less than a second but it felt much, much longer. Everything became much clearer, I smelled the grass at the side of the road, I heard the wind going through the leaves and I wondered, "Did I lock the door when I left?" followed by "Oh, great idea for my next story." and "I'm hungry.", which helped fuckall in that situation. After sliding around on the road for a bit I got up and didn't feel anything. Looked down, saw my leg bloody from the knee down and could have run a 100m dash anyway. ... when I came down from my adrenaline high a few minutes later I wasn't feeling so great anymore and forget running, I couldn't even walk.

@OP, also, don't forget to mention when Praetorians are silent. I hate that. ;)

The only sound glitches I ever notice are when there are too many biotic explosions for the game to handle and it just sounds like my speakers are ripping in half.

All that means is we're doing it right.

It's called lolPS3 issues. Memory leak seems to cause them or at least very somewhat related. Too much action on maps like Goddess almost always guarantee's this happens to me halfway through first match even as host. Not hearing Phantoms is pretty dangerous. Had 3 Platinum matches yesterday where this was the case. Lucky they had more fun stabbing the Cryo Ammo Acolyte Trooper.

Weapons a la ADAS/CAR not making sounds seems more related to lag... And I love the sound of the ADAS (well, when I'm making them sounds, at least).

My visual perspective also isn't a few meters behind and above my head. Biowerplz

I think there are reasonable explanations for it. For quarians it is spilled borscht. If playing female characters, you could think of it as PMSing when getting shot. For geth it's obviously hydraulic or transmission fluid.  Krogan it is the enemy's blood running off your forehead etc.

Another reason for more lag that leads to some of these issues is; the player base is shrinking, so it's getting rarer to find closer ping players. Thus the illusion that the last update might of been a server downgrade.

EDIT - yesterday was also the first time I seen a map with missing textures in the Reactor. Even though I was the host. So maybe we do need to resurrect that "What didn't the that last patch do" or whatever it was called thread?

Confirm loss of sound. In addition, I had two total game freezes on wave 8 & another on 10 (Dagger)- leading- even the "magical" ps button was useless. Had to recover corrupt PS.

At first suspected own PS hardware - then another player remarked on the sideline about similiar fate in another session.

What happens to other's in such a "freeze" session? I suspect the remaining users just see the leader leaving the mission but have to redo the wav. Or ?

Really felt bad in last one -since two players with level 1 weapons left the game already in wave 5 -and we had to fend for ourselves (yes -"only" gold). Still an achievement for me - 10 - close but no cigar.

I'm wondering how many 'player left session' are related to this? (obvious rage quitters, excluded)

Post edit - b4 someone comment on that -yes, its related to the old collector memory leak >2 praetorians multiple swarms not exterminated quickly enough...
