Finished the game in a marathon run through, got a pretty bad ending since I didn't spend time on upgrades and stuff. Now I want to import my ME2 character as a new class and fight for a better one.
I played soldier, and that filled by shooter needs, but now I'm looking to try the adept. But, the weird thing is you can't change your class after importing an ME2 character, only ME1.
Importing an ME2 character, why can't I change classes?

It seems ME2 imports mean New Game + so you keep all info from game 1 and you get some upgrades, a bonus power and your bonus weapon training skill. as well as some other ressources and credits.

Sadly for me only one of my character ID's from ME1 shows up, all the others that i had before I had the ME1 DLC are not showing up at all 
Luckily my best character is the one that works but still, bummer for all the rest.
