I think Skyrim had some pretty interesting things in terms of the Dwemer. It was a shame we didn't run into any shades or ghosts in one of the numerous ruins but it's not like they could have told us much about their disappearance. I think Arniel's quest in the Mages Guild is perhaps most telling in terms of what happened to them. Arniel becomes bound to the Dragonborn in a similar way that it's postulated that the Dwemer became bound to the Numidium. It's all pretty esoteric stuff, really, and there exist a number of other possible explanations. I'd like to see it explored in the game but perhaps it's too metaphysical to be easily digestible and presentable.

I think it's one of the things that Bethesda will just leave for the fans to mull over.

Learning about the Falmer was appreciated though. It was cool to see that untainted individuals exist (it was a great and unexpected surprise in Dawnguard), as it was to learn of the horrors inflicted on the majority by the Dwemer (maybe it would better if those folk stayed far way, no?)

I think we'll go deeper into conflict with The Thalmor in ES6. It's not resolved and it would be pretty lame to just abandon that thread in the next game. So, I think Summerset will be a good idea. It also presents the opportunity of interacting with the Maormer in the series proper. Not to mention the Imga and the possibility of the Sload.

Hammerfall could be the place too, given the trademark that was taken years back that we assumed would be for a DLC. Unless it was for ESO but that wouldn't be fun, lol.

Uh, Argonian race = best race

Stop licking the sap and listen to yourself, Jimmy. Stop talking crazy. Argonians are the worst race in Tamriel. The absolute worst. I'd rather take my chances with the Sload.

Immunity to disease/poison, water breathing, looks like a humanoid velociraptor... yeah, get out of here. Best race, gameplay and lore wise.

I'll skin you alive and feed you to Odahviing, you overgrown pair of leather boots. A race of hippy degenerates, to dare take for yourself the title of the greatest. The gall.

No game in Black Marsh will make sense or do well when all but one race can even survive in it most of the time, and that race is one of the least popular.

Oh yeah, someone else mentioned that as well, I just forgot. Shame, BM would be interesting otherwise. The lore could've given a nice little tie in with Morrowind as well.

On the BM thing. I'm sure Beth could magically retcon that part of the lore. Or maybe there's some spell or what not that lets the outsiders in.

There's no money in it, and no spell would work on such a grand scale. You would effectively be bound to a few cities. Valenwood or Alinor need to be the next setting, so the Thalmor can no longer be a thing.

Lore wise the Maormer haven't really been seen since the Second (or start of the Third era). I also doubt they'll ever touch on the Imga (seeing as they were never seen at all in ESO) or the Sload at all in any of their games.

It's not like that would be the first time.

Vampires anyone?

No reference. I was using it in exasperation, like: "Oh my god, don't remind me"

lol sorry.

But still they could whip something up if they wanted to. Elsweyr could be another cool place for exotic locations. And seeing all the different Khajiit would be cool.

Ofc, but first we have to finish up in Tamriel, there is lots to be done and wars to be fought. If we go to Akavari i want a Nerevarine cameo or something like that.

Lulz, you'll never see the Nerevarine unless they find someway to make them into one person like they could with the CoC. I also doubt we'll ever leave the nine races we've come to know behind for a place we know nothing about. Besides, I like the mystery.

honestly I want to see new races, and hopefully the designs look like the promised stuff in the promos. Does anyone else remember that screenshot while the game was still in development, where they had this big buff male Khajiit who looked like a tigerman? Still waiting for that version of the game.

Someone's a little bitter after having their homeland conquered by N'wahs.

I'd like more references and hints to it but would rather it stay unknown and mysterious.
