Audacity. It goes off on any kill you get from a skill. Broadside hits without crit for 2k+, so everyone in the area gets popped for 1500+
I need a bit of Isabela tutoring...

Yeah? Interesting. So, it's 75% of the damage of whatever ability I use to kill? When I kill a dude with Ambush for 6,000 damage, the explosion does 4,500 to anyone close? Now I'm glad I hung onto all of my purples just for collection purposes.

I have become skeptical that it does 75% of crit damage, but it would still do 2k+ damage for not even hitting them. I don't often catch all the yellow numbers before they go away. Either way still worth it.

I thought it explosion effects were explicit 75% of the blow that triggered the explosion?

Okay...so what is the best offhand then? My main is dragon dagger (obviously) I'm not at my Xbox so I'll describe as best I can remember.
I linked the video earlier this thread, but I made an entire thread about it earlier this month, tipping everyone off. For Izzy, Audacity is fist (that goes boom), and Nameless blade comes at a close second imo. Both can be upgraded for with 9 offense leather using the Dense Dual Blade Grip. That's almost +16% critical chance or +27% critical damage bonus, on top of the other bonuses.

It's 75% weapon damage*atk bonus%. So it shouldn't be very much unless it's bugging and doing main hand damage.
All bolt damage is based off main-hand damage, and most of her skills too. The only skill she uses with off-hand is flanking (afaik), and some of her basic attacks use off-hand damage. You shouldn't be basic-attacking much with Izzy regardless.
I'm not sure if critical damage bonus or other damage bonuses affect this explosion amount, however I have gotten some very high explosion numbers on occasion (I think 5k+ was my highest).

I've had people ask how I'm doing so much damage on Issy. Haven't been accused of hax yet, but one guy even said it was probably my Dragon dagger.
I don't have a mic, but the answer is,of course, Audacity + Broadsides.

Bolt & broadside are fixed. Other 2 I mess w a bit. Parry & spin good for you?
What are your stats at?

Draska. How do you like parry? Was messing around w it. Very useful. Was using broadside, bolt, Ambush, flank. Build up elusive.

Who's this Draska person? I like Parry quite a bit when solo. You can see me Parry quite a bit in the video. Team environment makes Ambush better in most team situations though.
Parry is an advanced skill, meaning it requires more understanding of the game to use effectively, and is generally harder to use. However, it is safe to spam in a pinch given its low stamina cost, no cooldown, counterattack and stamina restoration upon success.
You get used to using parry as Templar and Venatori footsoldiers charge you with their shields, counterattacking, bolt and spinning as their stagger from your parry
leaves them vulnerable. Other melee-attackers become just as predictable with time.
If you're one-on-one with the dragon, you can parry all its melee attacks toward you. You may possibly even parry the dragon balls too (can parry any projectile), but not the breath attack. I don't know about the mines.
You still generally want to be using bolt in most situations, but when you know there's a melee attack coming, parry is an excellent choice.
My stats increase every week, so I don't know what they were at the time of the video anymore. Mine's higher than that now.

Ran it a bit last night. As I am usually with a group I'll stick with Ambush. It's easy to read an enemy's attack...but it does slow things down. Instead of dancing around and killing, I'm waiting for the enemy's slow as hell attack to hit me. As I'm using Parry I'm thinking, "If I have Ambush, this dude would be long gone".
Thanks though. Love that they added respec. Don't have to wait to 20 to change things.
Audacity...now that thing is staying with me. Meat chunks everywhere. MAYHEM!

I want to nab Flank Attack to generate elusive stacks faster/easier, but the more I play, the harder it is to abandon the damages. The spinny move, bolt, broadside, and ambush all just hit so hard. Isabella is basically a berserker.
And it feels that with a good enough group Ambush/Spinnything generate enough elusive as it is. Does Flank Attack significantly improve survivability if you get caught out in the open or it doesn't change all that much?
