I would like to just set the thing to update, and be done with it, but every time I walk off I come back, it seems to know, and will have stopped at some pitifully small increase from last time I checked.
It's a little flustrating ![]()

Slow internet connection perhaps?
I don't mind if they have no bandwidth, but I would just like it to keep downloading. and quit having to come back and right click, and tell it to continue ![]()
Check your network devices. Or uninstall and re-install origin
yes it's completely restarted on me more than once, no other download does this to me, so suddenly it's always the User's problem.
Even steam never does this to me.
Funny though the DLC, just came right down, zip, zip and done, but there no good with out the Update.
Re-install origin. See if that fixes it as unlike steam it breaks occasionally.
Is your internet slow or of relative speed because I think I remember having a similar issue which occured because my internet either briefly stopped working or was way too slow? I think my internet was the cause because after I changed it to something with a higher speed, I had no issues. Could be a different problem that behaves similarly, of course.
17 Hour's, I forget how many times it's restarted, and I have been in contact with tech, and did everything they said. get to about 30 - 40 % stop. try to resume, and back to Zero..
It is so nice to pay for something you never get to use. I have to figure out how to sell something to people, and never let them have it.
Or make them so tired of trying to get it that they just quite trying.
Maybe try to delete the patch, repair your game files, then try again.
Your patch should be in " C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update ."
Delete the folder called "Patch," then go to Origin and right click on the Inquisition box art and select "Repair Files."
You could also go into Origin's application settings tab (in the upper left corner of the Origin client) and go to advanced settings and see if "Safe Mode Downloading" or "Origin Helper" are enabled. The safe mode can cause slow downloads. I have both unselected and have had no issues so far.
After you do all that, try downloading the patch again. Good luck!
Thx U WikipediaBrown, But I am about at that point of Give up, they got my money, and The game is a No Go..
Just losing interest again, which is what happened last time I played it just got so Borred I quit Playing it.
Now I am just fed up with trying to Get it to let me Play. I thought sense they had added the ability to actually tweak you player look it might be worth trying again, but this has been a very sickening ordeal. with seemingly no easy or timely effort to fix.
I am just pretty much sick of trying. ![]()
I payed $70 plus tax for this so I went back at it. Completely wiped the game. and re installed from disk's which were bought day one of it's release.
I read fine print finally all of it. They do kind of put the screws to me, I see where says on-line connection requirement 512kbps up, and down, so they have very well covered there Back side with this.
Which because I live in and area, where the Phone company is independent, and basically has a monopoly on the Internet. I pay over 60 Bucks a month just for an approx 120 KBPS up and Down. Just to give you and Idea just how Overpowering Monopoly's can be.
So It seems to be finally trying to up date at a terribly awful speed. I can only hope the 512KBPS, is considered for On-line play which I never do, and I never want to do. so Maybe in a couple of days, with a tail wind, and a little luck I can play the game.
as it seems like they are downloading the entire game just to patch it. Also there server does not allow a very fast download anyway, and seems to be limiting me.
I won't be buying any more Origin games. Not because I hate them or anything, I just can not deal with buying a game, and taking it home, just to wait two or three day's, and five or six technical contacts latter, just to get it patched, and ready to use.
What is so bad about this is next time they decide to patch I will have to go through this all over again, as they do not give me and Option to refuse the Patch, or to just update to one of the earlier patches that I had already played, that was not so big. They force me to update or I can not play, not even with the original, which I actually never had any problems with. I mean right now I would be fine just playing with the out of the Box version, bug's and all.
This means that as a casual player that just every now and then gets a whim to play for a little bit, I will always be at the mercy of finding out I have to Patch ![]()
So maybe if I am really, really lucky I can eventually get this Patch downloaded now, and possibly I will get to play a few day's before they Patch it again, and I have to wait another 3 or 4 days to play again.
[Another really sucky thing is If I let my system go to sleep mode, it stops downloading, and when I catch that I generally lose 3 or 4% of what i had already downloaded]
I wish there was something they could do about this, let you download the patch in the background and continue to play with the way it was or something.
But thx U all for trying to help, at least if I am lucky it may finally get updated. I just have another day or so to wait.
[I just sort of think it is very terrible what DRM does to Honest Game buyer's]
Yeah! 31 hours latter from the time I started to update, and I can finally play, gosh! I hope they don't update real soon.. LOL
