DA:O

01. Meeting Morrigan for the first time

02. Ostagar cutscenes.

03. Riordan vs the Arch Demon

04. The Deep Roads. Fantastic the first time I played it. A bit of a chore later, I admit.

DA2

01. Isabela as a character + her humor.

02. That coast area was fun to explore the first time.

03. Meredith. I liked her as an antagonist. Wished she was more fleshed out, though.

DA:I

01. The Storm Coast

02. Those little build ups\warnings before a dragon fight + the dragon fights themselves.

When ser Jory got murder knifed by Duncan(that's what he gets for being a b*tch)
Hell if he would have at least tried he might have became a grey warden(imo he only wanted to be a grey warden just to say he was and because he prolly thought the dark spawn threat wasn't serious)

If I had to pick one from each game, it'd be:

Origins - Logain's betrayal at Ostagar

DA2 - Ander's delivering justice onto the Chantry

In - Singing in the camp

But for a personal impact moment, it would be the very first time I played - I knew NOTHING about the game, ended up romancing Alistair with a female elf and didn't know you had to harden him ... so the moment he broke my Warden's heart very nearly reduced me to tears .... I still haven't forgiven him for that! XD

For my part... it'd have to be the Archdemon's death for a PC who brought Alistair to the final battle in DAO but did not accept Morrigan's deal. You're the last two Grey Wardens who can possibly stop the Blight, and you get to that scene... and the big dope runs off and does the deed for you, as your senior (although he's deferred to you for everything else all along) or as your lover... You figure it's gonna be the hero because the hero always saves the day... but nope. The sidekick who's been your partner in crime since the very first, who's opened to you his deepest and most intimate secrets.... no, it's that guy who steps up to the plate while your traumatized and hesitant hero is paralyzed and terrified. He obliterates his soul to keep you safe. Yikes. The follow-up in the epilogue and DA:A just completely fails to do justice to how massive of a personal sacrifice that is. No afterlife, no reward... just nothingness, because he valued you as a friend or lover so much more than he valued his own existence. That's some heavy stuff.

Battle of Ostagar. The ending of that just told you this isn't a fairy tale where the good guys win and go home happy.

The game of Wicked Grace scene in DA3. I think that - apart from the off-timing when the companions should have been talking over another - it was really well handled and epitomizes the series delivery of having memorable and engaging companions.

The entirety of Ostagar. Just as you've stepped out of your chosen background and "lived" through whatever got you there, you come to this beautiful ruïned fortress/castle (and the music swells) and are truly let loose for the first time to experience this game. The look of Ostagar as you cross that bridge--for that reason (honestly) the only time I felt Inquisition, in terms of how a place looked and felt, felt like Origins, was when you cross that big bridge in Emprise towards the dragon. With that ruïned whatever-it-is. The toned down colors of Emprise did wonders for that, I guess.

Ham that tastes of despair.

Also the narrated graphic things for exposition at the start of DA:O and A, and throughout DA2.

The thing about Ostagar (at least for me) was that it was the first time I had ever seen a moment like that in a video game. Yeah, I'd played NWN2, and that had cutscenes and all, but it didn't have anything close to that kind of intensity. I'm more jaded now, so it takes a lot more to raise goose bumps, and that's kind of a shame.

Sometimes, I wonder if people pine for the novelty of Origins as much as anything the story had to offer. Yeah, the story was great, I won't dispute that. But it was also new, and technology allowed things that would never have been possible with older engines. It's kinda like going to a diner after the prom. Yeah, a grilled corn muffin with butter will always be tasty, but at least one of the reasons it's so good is because you're 16 and you're out partying at 1am.

The thing is bioware has new hardware and COULD aspire to be bold and new... Instead we get a wilderness MMO with lots of preaching about sexuality and a very short main story buried in a mountain of fetch quests.

1. Finding Cailan in Return to Ostagar. After seeing that I crossed that bridge and wanted to obliterate everything.
2. Rounding the corner and seeing the Brood Mother. I really like how the put in that cut scene to introduce fight. Still creepy.
3. Being able to deploy armies during the archedemon battle. Should I call in those squishy mages, or wait? Nice game mechanic!
4. Working my way up the Circle Tower. Never knew what was around the corner. What's a Sloth Demon? Oh great! Where are we?
5. Saving Redcliffe Village. Liked how that fight was all over the town. Hey Alistair, look! An Ogre! Finish Him!

The Ostagar battle and one that really gets me everytime is when I have the Keeper give his life to end the curse, then Leliana sings back at camp. The final fight leading up to the Archdemon was amazing too! Also I wonder if the Warden and Loghain realized how "Orlesian" they had been behaving when they decided to draw weapons in front of hundreds of nobles and spill blood all over the carpet?

DA2 it was the moment when Hawke realized the Arishok and her were to be enemies and the scene when her mother dies, and Meredith's fate.

For DAI it's Corypheus' intro at Haven and finding Skyhold with Solas. I also love the scenes when they prepare for the battles at Adamant and the Wilds.

In the DLC, finding the King's body made me teary-eyed. I wanted to tell both Loghain and Wynne to shut up and stop arguing. And the Duke's "fall from grace" was epic! The first Inquisitor was also unforgettable.
