Avvar Skywatcher Worlds Fastest Perilous Solo[11.30] - Proof that DAIMP does not take any skill

Eh. Skill has clearly become overrated. The point of a game is not to be difficult to learn, the point of a game is to be enjoyable. DAMP clearly succeeds just fine, so instead of focusing on changing core mechanics to make it inherently more reflex-based and/or cursor-accurate to master (at least I assume that's what you want when you say 'skill'), let's focus on more content. Like new game modes, difficulties, enemies, and other options (friendly fire pls Luke).
Oh, and what's all this rubbish about the guy in the video using other people's builds? People don't own builds. Do you seriously believe that you're the first person to use that build? I hope you realise that 99% of players haven't so much as heard that these forums exist, let alone read them, let alone post on them, let alone make videos about 'their' builds. And even if you actually were the first to use that build, and the first to publically announce the build (aka share the build), what on earth makes that yours? Are you going to sue others for using it after you've shared it on a public forum?
I appreciate anyone who puts in effort to selflessly help others out. But I hope you don't expect intellectual copyright over 'your' level-up pattern for a specific character in the multiplayer segment of a video game. I hope you realise how ridiculous and self-absorbed the notion sounds.
And we get to my point. This is a video game, not your bloody job.
precisely, no one is saying that anyone owns any build(at least i'm not. can't speak for drasca). the only reason it was brought up multiple times in this thread is because the guy in the video denounced "my" (not really mines or anyone's build) as the inferior build and that the one he came up with was overall "better". Then here he is soloing with "my" particular build and even admitting its "better" now. so he was called out on it, nothing more nothing less. this doesn't involve anyone else also nobody but penguin himself would have been called out on something dumb like this.

@breakjohn, i dont think penguin has ever even had a conversation with you, let alone denounce your build. All i know is that he alternates between the build he posted and the one you did. He told me last night that the reason the LW build was chosen was because it better suited a solo setting;its faster. Again, i dont recall him ever mentioning anywhere that either build is better or worse though.

denounce was probably the wrong word i agree. also too many people in here are fretting over dumb stuff, my first post in this thread was more of a nod saying to myself "hehehe i like how he's using this build for the solo". i hope it wasn't taken the wrong way. also same goes for my post above.

Since you lot are banging on about builds and stuff, I was using that build before most people got into the beta. There's like 10 skills for each character, who cares if people found the same combination of skills to use as someone else. Game is not hard and does not require skill. Stop whining and continue playing the game since you enjoy it so much, Drasca and friends. Every time I read BSN its just a bunch of negativity from you lot.

I believe that everyone with basic reading comprehension skills could understand perfectly well what you meant instead of trying to twist your words for technicalities. ![]()
And holy cow archdemon, this thread grew quite a lot over a couple of hours. You know, my theory is that people miss the epic fight threads we had in the ME3 MP forums (kill an Atlas in one cast anyone?
) since they were insanely funny and entertaining so they're trying to relive the good ol' days.
Doesn't seem to be working that well, though.
Also kids, remember. Avenger is deadly on full auto.

Good video.
I dont think this kind of video is to tear apart the community about the skill-less aspect of the game, but more of a warning alert to bioware to show the flaws of their combat system. If the game becomes too easy even in PUGs, I dont think most people would still be interested to play. For my part, I lost a lot in interest in this game after acquiring some end game weapons making the ominous perilous that scared me before as somehow a bit harder threatening.

Nah it doesnt work because whoever has the most promotions would win. It could work if there was a way to turn off promotions, similar to how you can disable badass points in borderlands.

Oh man. I originally liked this thread because the idea of having a hardest difficulty that didn't accommodate the highest tier gear well felt a bit silly. Now that I've seen it mature I got'tah say this turned out far better than I ever hoped. Its got all the trimmings now. As long as we're trademarking things I'm taking keelhaul! Have you ever seen a shadow tied to a behemoth trying to reach you? It's amazing! Probably not better than bolt but hell it's almost as hilarious as panicked spellbinders running around. Almost.

Regardless of this tiresome kindergarden debate again about community seniority, that's a very obnoxious point to make in the thread title.
Obviously, the better the gear/stats are, the less attention you need to pay. You have successfully proven that you like playing video games.
And that Skywatcher is still an awesome dude.
Can we all go back to loving one another, playing the game or stopping to play the game then?

In a thread that constitutes the fundamental workings of a game don't require any skill, you're telling me to find something else to do if I dislike it?
Bold.
And yes, I would really like to ignore those threads, but that's like ignoring the hole in the ozone layer because I dislike pollution.
Are we still calling builds? I invented the "all four hotkeys trigger horn of valor" build for Templar. She brings a trumpet to work and toots on it all day. Synergizes well with moon axe
Lol, you're still using Horn of Valor? Everybody knows this one dude declared them unviable.

You can safely ignore this thread - it's not as menacing as climate change, bad harvest, amok-running people trying to kill you, etc. What you should not ignore is going to the potty when you feel the urge to.

We should discuss tactics on how to eradicate this menace rather than waste time on this pointless epeen show.
My epeen is the biggest anyway. So nerrrrr.

The premise of the original post may have been stated to create drama but it is incorrect. It takes skill to be perilous solo. Much like Me3MP the good players after playing at a high level soon figure that playing at a high level is the norm not the exception and can't understand why other players are not as good. The Avvar takes skill no matter what your load out or items are.

Did you watch the video? What skill is displayed other than running at enemies and hitting them?
