Fright Night was good at least.
I'd argue better than the original in alot of ways.
No president masks? I am disappoint.
The problem is Hollywood is too scared to risk new ideas so use tried and tested popular movies and remake them till the end of time.
Last I checked, Hollywood's productions were entirely adequate for their audience. If that weren't the case, Hollywood wouldn't produce those movies after all.

Good point

Sounds like another industry I know of.
Good point
Furious 7 was better than Age of Ultron.
I say that with no sarcasm what so ever.
@Clones:

@Clones:
Better action
An actually imposing villain
Didn't have half the ****** movie cut out
Better use of continuity
Trailers weren't misleading (Marvel is really starting to ****** me off with this tactic)
Actually got an emotional response from me, so the film actually registered with me and that made it more memorable because of it, unlike AoU where all it got was the "It was alright I guess" shrug
An actually imposing villain.
Who was the villian? A book without pictures?
Who was the villian? A book without pictures?
You know it's Jason Statham.
But even a book is more threatening than that clown running around with Ultrons name.
I thought Furious 7 was okay up until I watched Fury Road. Then I dropped that opinion faster than.......................something fast.
Also the scene where Dom "almost dies" and Michelle has to save him through the power of "I remember now baby, I remember I love you" And then "Hey! Lookie there Dom is okay!" Made me cringe to the point of almost breaking a rib. Even if I liked most of the rest of the movie.
Statham was an okay villain, but I'd hardly call him imposing. I do wish he would have but a bullet through the Rocks crotch so we didn't have to see him. I like the Rock well enough, but damn is his character was cheesy mcsqueezy.
Ultron was menacingly hilarious, which I enjoyed. Shaw was ok, but I didn't think he was on the same level.
I prefer the Ultron that plays himself off as an emotional robot.
But does stupid **** like build himself a robot wife with Wasps face on it.
Him making snarky jokes is way too on the nose for my taste.
Number of good remakes in last 10 years...1 (True Grit)
Number of bad remakes in last 10 years....I can't count that high even if I take my shoes off..

I haven't seen Fury Road yet, but I really want to.
All of the Rocks characters are cheezy. That is the essence of that guys career. Apparently that was fine when Arnie was doing it. But now it just can't be.
Everytime Ultron spoke my ribs were crushing my lungs from how I cringed remembering how badass he came off in the trailer.
Hey, now, The Rock is still cool. He may not have had as much screentime in 7, but the machine gun scene made up for it.
Ugh, dude is strong but not that strong to hold it for as long as he did like it was a peashooter. That gun is weighs as much as a small teenager and fires rounds at of up to 1500-5000 rounds per minute. And he fired it for way too long for it to still have ammo in that chopped off belt. I don't care who you are, the weight and kick alone would knock you on your ass. That was too over the top for me even compared to the rest of the film. ( And I sound like even more of a hypocrite as someone who's been singing the praises of Fury Road LOL Oh well.......)
At 7 films in you're saying something like that specifically doesn't make sense, I don't know what to tell you.
Lol I know, I haven't seen any of the previous 3 though. So I figure my hypocrisy is justified lol ![]()
And I know all the movies are popcorn flicks and over the top. But for whatever reason that just stuck out like a sore thumb to me.
Oh **** no? Just leave Point Break alone.
Hollywood ran out of new ideas. What's next, a Vampire In Brooklyn remake starring Kevin Hart?

It's an idea just bad enough for Hollywood
